Tommie Robinson is not a great recruiter!

This is what was written about Coach Robinson when he left UT for USC from a UT site.
“Losing Robinson might not be a major blow for the Longhorns, as he's been a bit of a disappointment on the recruiting trail -- running backs coaches are typically asked to shoulder a tremendous load as ace recruiters for many coaching staffs and Robinson hasn't been that in Austin, though he's done a commendable job as a position coach.
Since Robinson hasn't been an outstanding recruiter, the impact of his departure on the running backs currently targeted by the remaining staff will likely be negligible, though Strong would be well served by finding a replacement before National Signing Day. And, in fact, before next weekend, when Texas will host Katy running back Kyle Porter and George Ranch running back Darius Anderson.”
It’s seems pretty stupid for CEO to make this guy his recruiting coordinator when he has history as a poor recruiter. This is just another black eye against CEO. Some people never learn from past mistakes.

This pisses me off. Our RB coach whose supposedly an awesome recruiter whiffing on everyone out there. Pretty bad timing to when you have Emery this year, and oh yea the #1 Back in the country in 2020 who we have a great shot with. Get Robinson outta there.

This is what happens when you hire a bunch of yes men

Stop what? He's right. Tommie Robinson might be the worst on staff recruiter we've had in years. He's terrible.

So what longtime staff member can be promoted to take his place? Sam Nader? He was an assistant for Cholly Mac so that's enough experience.

Like who? Emery ever did want to be here. Period

And you know this because? Find that hard to belive he never saw himself here. Clearly we just haven’t done as good of a job as Georgia in his recruitment.

It’s because of that one good recruiting year he had at USC... but one year flash hires haven’t really worked out for O yet. See: Matt Canada

I just think there are other factors at work here and not just T Rob"s ability to recruit. I'd like to wait 4 more months to see how this plays out.

I wish we would have thrown the books at Frank Wilson. That is who produced recruits out the arse when Les was in command. People are giving Ed shite for recruiting even though we are still getting guys, but at the end of the day, it’s a joint effort.

Yep he has done nothing to earn his keep. Hell Raymond closed on Curry. No way he gets Emery to flip or Cain. Hopefully O and Ensminger can land one of them by signing day

Starting to notice that raymond seems to be the only one with a history of being a good/great recruiter. The rest of the staff is not very good. If this season falls apart and the recruiting falls apart then you have to Fire O/Alleva!!
Wow! the stupidity with the way alleva gave extensions to miles followed by a 5 year deal for O is just mind blowing

Raymond couldn’t even close on his own godson last season

Man just bring back Coach Frank.
I remember plenty of people talkin bout "we're fine without coach frank" LOL no the frick we are not.
We would NOT have lost a RB from NOLA under coach Frank you can bet your arse on that.

Maybe Georgia has a Dodge Dealership too

Tough pill to swallow considering his compensation. If he’s not the highest paid RB coach in the country, he’s right at the top.

I was wondering when this was going to coming out. You guys are hilarious. One bit of disappointing new and you lose it. We are still in this thing guys.
