do you know what he does for work now? He may not of loved football, but as far as jobs go, it pays pretty dam well, and how many people really love their jobs anyway. Looks like he would have had a great shot at playing in the NFL. Not many 6'3" 220 lbs that can jump a car like that or high jump 7' or run a 4.4 40ty. Just seems dumb to waste god given ability like that and a easy path to fame and fortune playing in the NFL. You saying he tried JUCO ball, dominated at it, and just quit it because it wasn't fun enough? I really hope he is doing something he really loves right now because otherwise, how depressing would it be working some fricked up job knowing what he passed up, because he just didn't like it that much. WTF.

You're preaching to the choir broski. I've let him know on multiple occasions how bad I wanted to see him roaming the secondary for LSU. It would have been a dream to see a friend playing for LSU.

It wasn't the all time national record but he had the best high jump and triple jump in the country his junior year.

He was also a star on the track and field team, placing first in the nation in the long jump and the triple jump during his junior year.

That article is incorrect. Here are the official rankings for Fleming's junior year. He was tied for 20th in the high jump, 21st in the long jump, and not in the top 25 for the triple jump.

Hmm.. I wonder why the principle announced it as being the best in the nation that year? Maybe it was the best distance/height recorded SO FAR that year? I'm just guessing. But for a 6'3" 220 guy jumping 7 feet and long jumping 24 feet is insane. He hardly ever touched a weight as well.
