Don’t get the Arkansas hype I see TCU but to me that even weaker with Texas and Oklahoma leaving
TCU has always made their bread and butter off underrated guys with great athletic gifts. They have been able to develop great defensive guys under Patterson, but Dykes is an offensive guy and has never been known for defense with his teams.
Arkansas has never been know for sending players to the NFL, especially on defense. I mean it's cool they got a 5 star transfer that was stuck behind elite players at Bama drafted in the 3rd round, but that's their 2nd example of doing anything good defensively in the draft recently. The other is Agim back in the 2020 draft, but that was under a prior coach.
NFL aside, I guess TCU could be a top dog in the Big 12 after the 2 recruiting giants leave, but honestly, with Houston, UCF, and Cincinnati now with power 5 status, Texas Tech becoming good at recruiting and building a nice team, K State and Kansas with promising coaches (who might be on the move after another year though), and the regulars who have their highs and lows, who knows how good they will actually be.
Arkansas even with divisions being erased, I don't see them being a 10-2 type team ever especially now that Texas and Oklahoma will be in. At worst you'll play 3 top 15 recruiting teams every year.
Facilities, no. Pedigree, no. Money, no (Jerry Jones doesn't seem like he cares as much). I can understand if he were in Texas or in Arkansas, but he's obviously not.
Weird, very weird.

No heel intended just tired of the bullshite like the comment I replied to. It's OK to question a kid's intelligence in a poor attempt at humor(though more likely as a coping mechanism) but how dare I post nothing short of facts to show how poor an attempt it was. Guess 17 people didn't find the humor in the facts I presented. That was the point. It isn't funny.
Also, I've been here long enough to know which posters actually have any credence to what they say in recruiting. The vets so to say. I've not personally attacked anyone that hasn't attacked me and I haven't attempted to shout down any poster I know here who's opinion I value, even if I don't agree. We all have an opinion, some more valued than others personally. It just so happens that in this particular cycle I'm not buying the sunshine being pumped. Too much conflicting info regarding our most important targets. In those scenarios, haven't we learned that generally the other schools scoop has more validation or is more current? Our "sources" are always behind with scoop when it's close. Yet we always express surprise when it goes down that way. Fool me once...(or a few dozen times over the years). Our sources have no confidence on any of our top targets. All hedging to wait it out. That's troubling particularly when others do show confidence. We are pushing timelines out while others are pushing up. Is that not evidence we think we trail? And it's the case with Simmons, Mack and Mckinley. All 3 are guys we are pushing to slow down their timelines.
It's okay to be neutral, but you're just negative. You're the glass half empty guy. I don't care how long you've followed recruiting, get the downer mentality out of your comments. If there is something negative, you choose to be more negative, if there is something positive, you chose to be negative, or not comment on it.

I quit commenting on recruiting like I did because you got a bunch of guys who literally get in their feelings and will mock you simply you stating facts.
You didn't attack anyone. Brought very good points in your post. They just didn't like it so the very next post guy tried to make fun of you.
As if that will change reality.
Keep commenting because I enjoy the realness and conjecture you provide.

Guess you missed TCU in the playoff last year while we were basking in the glory of beating Purdue. Seems they should be laughing at us.
Big 12 runner up.

Fanva: we need 5 stars to compete. our guys aren’t ranked high enough. I’m not happy.
Fanva: we missed out on on a 3 star that our coaches wanted. I’m not happy.
Fanva: that highly ranked player used to be much lower. I’m not happy.
No matter how rational your posts “sound”, you contradict yourself ...except for one common element.

Because Many behaved like a bunch of children for about a decade. We’ll see if anything changes now that they have a new coach.

Honest and knowledgeable posters are often given the "shout down".

LSU is taking the long game approach compared to teams like Texas trying to get it wrapped up early.

Looks like the early word is that A&M believes Tylen could show up to their party.

This is not good news Capt

I’m wondering if kids are going to make a stop at LSU then go to A&M/Texas or the vice versa.

CC, I know it's a Monday morning, but what time does the bar open up?
Posted on 7/17/23 at 9:46 am to Captain Crown
When is A&Ms pool party in relation to ours? What commits are going to both?

I take the beach approach. It’s never too early.

Is it my understanding that they are on the same weekend?
Posted on 7/17/23 at 10:48 am to BetaPhi681
Yes. Everyone having some event before coaches kick into camp.

Livvy and her friends need to be at the pool party. Then, everybody would attend...
