Another excellent set of analyses. Thanks. When everyone talks about Louisiana being loaded next year they aren't kidding.

Great job Lynx. Thanks.

I don't know much about these guys, so I had one or two questions.

Is Hunter comparable to Al Woods?

Would Robinson likely play guard at LSU with the OT we have?

Hey Lynxcat,

You do a great job with all of this

But fwiw: Hunter dominated Greg Robinson in the WM Thibodoux game.

Hunter should be a high 4* but will probably be a 3* due to lack of quality offers.

He is much better than Allen IMO.

Lots of people said he was the best player they saw in the dome for the state championships.

not being sarcastic, but if he is so great and he plays for WM why won't he have quality offers? Its not like they don't get exposure over there.

I think you could find a spot for Sylve in the top 5. Wondering if he will be the fastest moving LA prospect in recruiting services next year...I don't think he gets enough respect early from recruiting services from his injury...then steadily moves up.

I ask myself the same question. He is a better prospect than Allen. I cant remember how many offers Allen had at this time last year but I think it was only like Nebraska and ULM. Then LSU offerred and he committed on the spot.

If you've seen the kid play you know he is the real deal. He dominated the huge lineman from Thibodoux. I think he's the guy Lynx has at #9.

He was the 2nd leading tackler for WM this year as an interior lineman.

One things for sure. IF he gets an LSU offer. He will commit on the spot like Allen did.

He's around 6'2 some call that short for a DT. But he has lost ALOT of weight from when he weighed in at 305 last year. On one of the coaches shows here in WM Chucky told Frank Hoffman that he had been losing weight and was at the time around 280.

Maybe schools are concerned about him only being 280ish.

he looks more like 6'0" and of course holding that much weight at that size makes him look overweight

Not nearly as big. Woods is a giant man (6'4 300+). Hunter is more like 6'1 280ish.

I think it is a little early to tell. I can see him playing RT (I think Faulk and La'el will have LT locked down) but I also think he would be available as a OG. He is a great pulling offensive lineman so guard could be a good fit.

I don't have a specific answer at this point in time.

lynx, I think you have Hill a little too high, as well as Thomas. Thomas has the measurables, but didn't do too much in that Tigerbait video.

My 6-10 is:

6) Chuck Hunter- I am very high on him, he reminds me of a Sedrick Ellis type of player, should make a great nose tackle. He shows pass rush ability on his Rivals film, lining up at DE against St. Aug. IMO he could be WM's best prospect since Whitworth and James.
7)Greg Robinson- Great point on his ability to pull.
8) Bradley Sylve
9) Terrance Magee- Love his Scout video
10) Hill
11) Thomas

Just my thoughts.

The Tigerbait video was poor quality, from one game, with only about 8-10 plays. However, I feel like the athleticism he shows in the film is elite. He also already has an offer from LSU which speaks volumes.

Hill is impressive. The kid is a pin-ball with solid speed and great lateral agility. We could be talking about him in a handful of years about how much better he is than Hilliard. He has a chance to be a big time player IMO. He reminds me of Ingram in some ways, maybe just not as explosive through the hole.

Hunter doesn't have an LSU offer yet and I think his ceiling is not nearly as high as other guys in the state. He is only around 6'0-6'1 and I don't see him being able to develop his body as much as some other prospects. I think he is a solid prospect, but the lack of the ceiling makes me put him a few spots lower than you have him.

I can see Sylve dropping in my rankings eventually. He does have elite speed which is a rare quality. He won't touch the ball many times a game, but he could be one of the best deep threats to come out of the state in awhile.

Terrance Magee-- I really didn't know where he would project. I consider him a true ATH but it appears LSU wants him as a RB. He will appear in my rankings soon.

lynx, I actually had him rated above Hilliard before this year. I mentioned it many times this summer.

But then I saw Hilliard on TV against St. James, and was impressed. I'm a tough critic, but he looked like the real deal to me. I thought he was overrated based on his highlights before the year, but not after the St. James games.

And I didn't see anything amazing from Hill in his Junior videos. I was extremely high on him before this year as he reminded me a lot of Michael Ford with his agility and vision. But the videos weren't quite as good this year, he didn't seem as agile to me and wasn't too physical either.

Still, I could be wrong as it was only the Tigerbait video from one or two games. Barton Simmons from Rivals saw him in person (the game where he called La'el the best player he's seen this year), so I will wait for his ranking. He is one of the few analysts I will trust on their word alone, as opposed to Scike.

I may overrate him a little, but I see a lot of athleticism, and a great motor. Plus, a guy like Ellis like I mentioned is only 6'1". It actually can help as a nose tackle being short for leverage purposes. I have Tivo'd the State Championship game, but just haven't had time to watch it yet. I'll let you know how he and Allen played in that game.

He's 190 lbs with good acceleration and change of direction, so I've always thought RB for him.

With that said, after watching his film, I think I've changed my mind, and your ranking of him is better than mine. I loved his video when I watched it a few months ago, but not as much now. Sometimes I watch these videos at 1 in the morning and they seem better to me than they really should.
