You should apologize for calling someone's reading comprehension terrible. But, whatever.

They deserve pain and suffering for this.

My post was pure sarcasm. The fact you some how missed that is laughable. I have yet to see a kid forced to go to LSU. Have you named any? I assume you are basing this thread due to the reaction Collins got for picking Bama and some comments made towards CRob and a few others. I guarantee you the majority of the responses to LCs decision was due in part to the "games" he played with his instate school before bolting to Bama. If a Louisiana kid knows for two years he wants to go to another school the respectful way to go about it is to go ahead and pick the other school if that is truly where you want to go. CRob is baring the brunt of LCs decision because some felt like he was trying to play that same game. In other words, don't frick with your instate school because that is disrespectful.

I agree that no kid should feel forced to go to any school but as someone who grew up in La and graduated from LSU, I can't understand why the class of 2014 WOULDN'T want to be part of one of the greatest classes ever assembled. If that little midget really did tell LF that he didn't "need" him but really "wanted" him...that's a bunch of BS. What he really means is that he doesn't want to see "LSU" assemble that much talent in one class and he will do anything to prevent it. Saban isn't interested in competing with equal talent...he needs better talent which brings into question how great of a coach he really is.

If the state of Alabama had as much talent as we do in 2014, does anyone think that we would be in on all of those top kids? Don't you think that Saban would be making the same pitch that Myles is? We need a few of the elites to make their decision soon (hopefully for LSU)and begin to push the others that are on the fence. 2014 presents a very rare opportunity where one class could equate to several runs at a national championship. If things go right for us, this class will be talked about for many years to come. I want to believe that they "get" that but every other coach in the SEC knows what 2014 means to LSU and they will probably do some unethical things to prevent a clean sweep by LSU. It sucks to be in our position...waiting on the outcome.

I've said this before and I'll say it again...if any La born kid really doesn't want to go to LSU, just commit early and save us the emotional grief. These kids should take a walk with Tommy Cassanova (through campus) on a gameday and see what it means to be a past LSU football great. I happened to be walking behind him to a game a few years back and you would have thought that I was following Michael Jordan. That's the passion for football that LSU offers as a fanbase that is unmatched. Would Cam Robinson get that kind of attention walking through Gumpland in 20 years? I seriously doubt it. Not only that, but the families of these kids are recognized and celebrated almost as much as the kids.

Look no further than JREVONTE as proof. He's like a friggin celebrity around BR. It's a good thing that he is an LSU fan and seems to be a very good/level headed guy. Imagine what his life will be like around BR should Dylan decide to attend LSU. As a father of a 9 year old...that would be an awsome experience.

I know you laughed at the end of this comment, but, I certainly don't root for a kid from LA that was offered by us and leaves. Don't wish harm, just not going to be all proud of them, unless its a Marshall Faulk situation, where he was going to have to play a position he didn't want to play here.
They might as well get used to it, this is what the job market will be like when they come home one day.

Lol, when did I ever say that? If you read carefully in my op, you will see that what im really trying to say by not putting so much pressure on these kids to stay instate, they will look at it themselves and see that lsu is the best. I believe getting rid of the mentality I described will encourage the kids to stay instate

NOt particularly forced, but i see a lot of recruits this year feel a ton of pressure. Noil, Fournette, and Robinson to name a few. I think those guys SHOULD go to LSU, but when you put to much pressure on them, I feel recruits tend to want to act rebellious and just go somewhere else. If you let them go through the process on their own and if they're not totally stupid, they'll realize LSU is the best place.

Like Harvey Williams at his announcement in Hempstead, TX a couple years back: As he was walking into the gym, two girls started singing the A&M fight song, so Harvey went out and announced he was going to LSU. He Says he was still making up his mind as he approached the gym...

They SHOULD be forced, but they are not. They have the freedom to go where they want, but if they choose not to play at LSU (unless they feel they have no shot at playing there) then the state should SHUN them. They should never be allowed back to work, visit, see their families...etc. PISS on them, and I hope they freakin' suck where ever they go. Then I hope they break their legs. Disloyal, little bastards.

I disagree with the OP whole heatedly. But damn son.

Go to Alabama and see how traitors are treated. Just because traitors are not welcome back to La. and are universally hated here does not mean we are somehow worse than other states. Bama is much worse.

Any top recruit that chooses bama over LSU at this juncture is dead to me.

Choosing another school is one thing, but twisting the knife is another.
