The way Kelly is coaching LSU, the numbers that commit may soon grow like an avalanche

What Kelly has been able to do at LSU with a limited roster, with less numbers than anywhere else, is one of the greatest coaching stories ever told in college football. Though NIL money will always be a driving factor, who will be able to match what Kelly is able to achieve this quickly at LSU. Who else can sell that story?
It still seems unimaginable, what this first year coach at LSU has been able to accomplish since January when LSU’s roster was paper thin. Just a mere nine months later, he has his LSU team winning their division and possibly in the playoffs. Though Kelly had taken ND to the playoffs, some still questioned his credentials as a coach. Now, they’re on a rocket ride and no one’s questioning how high Kelly may achieve with his LSU Tigers!

Looks like we have a couple of really good ones committed that are fixing to flip and go elsewhere.

Yes but that happens every year. The only one that really stings is the DT.

Yeah, how will we ever survive our Top 4 Class

And a couple others flipping to us.
Welcome to recruiting, first time?

Every coach will likely lose a commit or two because of NIL, none will be immune from it. It’s what’s got many coaches like Saban so riled up. Truth is, it will still come down to coaching for most recruits even if the money offered is not exactly equal.

Yep. As of right now all signs point to us losing Darron Reed, Daylen Austin and Joshua Mickens.
If Austin flips to Oregon, I get it. He's a Cali kid and Oregon is doing good things.
Mickens to Ohio State is just down the road to him, and let's be real we aren't quite back at OSUs level just yet. So once again don't blame him.
Reed on the other hand... Auburn doesn't even have a head coach and has been a dumpster fire for years. This one is 100% back the brinks truck up to my swimming pool NIL bullshite. I understand how it could be hard to pass up that kind of money, but for fricks sake. Even if kiffen gets the job, who the frick has Lane ever put in the league at the DT position?!? The kid is running the risk of commiting career suicide.

Let one go to AUBURN with no coaching staff and the other go to Oregon, should they decide to. That’ll be to their detriment, these universities certainly do not produce like an LSU, Alabama, Georgia, etc, LSU will finish out with a top 5 class and those kids will be coached up. I trust Kelly, Steeples, Cain, and House to develop these guys that’ll stick, for both their LSU careers and the next level. I’d keep an eye on Hall, Washington, Big Bo, not to mention Toviano and Ricks. Regardless if we lose these two, there’s plenty coming overall.

Mickens is very sensible with his family being close and tragic loss as well as Ohio State producing D Line talent, yearly. Oregon and Auburn (with no coaching staff in place)? Yikes…that’s should they go, at least. I hope the gentlemen prosper but a wrong move, is a wrong move.

Reed is from Columbus, GA. It's basically in Auburn's backyard....about 30-40 minutes. Maybe some kids just aren't meant to stray too far away from family.

Last year was the cautionary tale. If they didn't learn from aTm and USC, that's on them.

Pay no mind to Sam. He shits on LSU in every recruiting thread. Odd for a guy with LSU by his name

Correct. Strange we seem to forget about this unless it's a LA kid we want. We vilify any kid that doesn't stay home yet do the same to kids from OOS that choose to do just that. Our fanbase in a nutshell.

I think Reed flipping has everything to do with NIL and nothing to do with winning and developing.
