I cant speak about crappy coaches such as Muschamp, but I don't know of any instance where Les pulled a kids offer on NSD and screwed him out of a spot.

one thing is for sure, many of these sites lost a bunch of money in reoccurring fees after Thursday in the state of Louisiana.

If u think the coaches at LSU or any other college don't promise or lie to these kids you are crazy. They just call it just getting PROCESSED or they stop calling.

I'm on TIGERBAIT and I'm pissed like others about the feel good stories we were lead to believe was gonna happen this year with this loaded 2014 class and what actually has happened. I'm not mad and what the staff says because mainly they are just messengers between recruits, staff, and the fan but damn. Completely lost faith in the system after that UA game. Also I have a problem with rivals scouts boosting BAMA recruits and how if a player chooses a school early they are sort of forgotten in the rankings because they is no more excitement with their recruitment but I be damned if a kid wants to go to BAMA they make sure they give him another star or keep him in the headlines. That's been the theme since Saban got to BAMA

Coaches like to the kids all the time, kids lie to the coaches all the time. It's a bullshite game and is dirty as hell.

I'll get excited after NSD. Anything can happen between now and then but you can bet 90% of what you hear is bullshite rumor

No recruiting service predictions then no reason for recruits to lie. If the recruiting services stuck to reporting actual facts instead of gossip then there is no reason for kids to lie to coaching staff and insiders.

Well, that is half the story.

Porter is the starting center for LSU now after spending time in Kentucky. He came back to LSU, so he must not have felt that screwed by the staff.

They offered him a grey shirt, they did not kick him to the curb.

I love the job Sonny and Shea do and don't blame them for what happened Thursday at all. That said, I've let my sub lapse. Just don't feel our inside sources have any credibility right now whether their fault or not. No since paying for inside info if you don't trust the info. Our insider group took a hit and its gonna take some time for most of us to trust what we get from them because they sre all geting the info from the same sources. I'm going back to my roots in following this. Read everything from multiple outlets, listen to what my own guys say(not as many as it used to be but still have a few good guys and follow the tea leaves by mudding through the bs on my own. It was effective then and will be now. Have as good a shot as our insiders right now.

On another note kind of, I feel bad for Sonny. The Mcknight recruitment already made him cautious and now he's super cautious and feels the need to hedge everything. I undrrstand it and think he does a great job but it hurts his ability to do his job if he's cautious with his info more than he was already. Its a shame that those parents allow their kids to do things like what happened.A little part if me hopes karma catches up with the parents. I wish the kids no harm. They are kids. Theyre expected to make dumb decisions but their parents let them and a lot of others down. Not sure who the adults are anymore

This thread makes me laugh. I don't think some people realize how little they actually know about the role of these services, their sources and the quality of the information they are providing.

How so? He predicted Noil and Willis to LSU right up until about two hours before kickoff Thursday. He was wrong for months. He recently said he felt good about Kenny Young being part of this class. Mr Young seems to feel differently. Im not saying he hasn't done a good job, but asses he hasn't kicked.

Like I said it wasn't about the 5, it has been the entire cycle. I am a paid subscriber to 2 of the best known paid sites and for a long time they couldn't get an interviews with the likes of Noil, TB and others but JS got several video interviews with them.

The sooner you realize that the only real approach is as lsufanva described then the better off you will be. It takes multiple information sources both paid and free to piece together a storyline. You need to figure out what is motivating the player to go to school and what is the compelling story each school can play to hit those heart strings.

It takes a lot of time and effort. It means you have to understand the implicit messages given by the recruits as much as the explicit messages.

For those that really enjoy keeping up with it I guess it's like paying for xbox live. Recruiting Board is enough for me. Paying to keep up on that stuff is just dumb, imo.
