The table is set. Recruiting Time!

The table is set for a big finish and it will be incredibly detrimental to the program if we don't finish strong with everything lining up like it is.
Opportunities:
6 SEC teams changing coaches including Florida and A&M who we compete with directly for recruits and Miss. State who we usually have a battle or 2 with.
We also finished the year up very strong on the field and their is positive momentum.
Threats:
Florida and A&M will make good hires and be back soon. Texas is already recruiting lights out and TCU is getting stronger every year. These teams will absolutely be bigger and bigger threats for top players moving forward.
Offensive Coordinator and scheme. Is Canada staying or going? Will we be implementing our 3rd Offensive scheme in 3 years? We need stability here for both player development and recruitment sakes.
Game Plan:
1.) Reconstruct the fence around Louisiana. Need to land 8 of the top 10 this year.
2.) Build depth on the lines. We have done this to a large degree but still need another OT and a few more elite bodies on DL.
3.) Land 3 impact offensive skill guys that can start immediately. 2-WR, RB. The opportunity to come in and start from day 1 is there for a few studs. LSU needs them badly.
4.) Lock up 2 more elite DB talent to continue our run as DBU. Potential for a CB to start alongside Greedy next year.
5.) Bring in a solid, if not elite QB that can compete for the starting job from day 1.
Based off the above, I'd say the below are absolute must gets:
Marshall - WR
Traore - OT
Surtain - DB
Cook - DB
Joiner - RB
Who else do we need vs want?

I really believe that O will finish strong. Win 10 games and profit

Kristian Fulton starts along side Williams next season. That kid was elite coming out of Rummel and I really don't know what happened to him this season.

He was playing behind guys going to the NFL dude

Whats up with Vincent? I really liked him in last years class. I imagine he gets first shot at Nickel, but think he could be in the mix for the other CB slot as well.

yeah, I know that man, but Tolliver and Jackson ain't elite NFL material, the two of them will probably be late round picks in the draft. They've made terrible mistakes all season, but I mean Greedy Williams basically took Tolliver's job the kid was so good this season. And the kid from Texas (Vincent I think it is) saw a lil time this season, but no Fulton, strange. I think Fulton may have been injured this season.

Vincent wasn’t ready for the stage and you could tell on multiple busted coverages. When he was in at the beginning of the year, you could see the talent but at times he just looked lost. Nothing against him but I believe he starts next year.
Chaisson has raw power. He needs some finishing moves for next year to become an elite pass rusher.
FWIW, I don’t think brossette starts at RB next year. CEH looks much more polished as a downfield runner who isn’t afraid to lower his shoulder.

I feel pretty comfortable here no matter what. We get a guy like Surtain and that vies us a legit 3 or 4 good options on the opposite of Greedy and somebody just has to work out. hopefully.

I actually am very nervous about running back next year. I think its very much going to be a running back by committee approach, similar to 2012 (Blue, Hillard, Ware). Just hope someone between CEH and Brossette steps up and one of the True Freshmen is a major hit.

Which one of you tools down voted me?? There was absolutely nothing wrong with what I said.

I’m nervous, but I think we can gameplan around that with a competent passing game.
Brossette to me just doesn’t have that killer instinct for an SEC RB. CEH looks like he runs with a purpose. I think him and a freshman will be the 1-2 punch unless Nick magically steps his game up

I hope Tolliver comes back next year...I don't think he's reached his full potential and another year should significantly raise his draft score.

Neither him or donte are nfl material yet but I think one of the two will declare

Why u care so much abt being downvoted on an anonymous msg board, bruh lol

Brossette only looked elite against inferior competition in high school. Need a guy to step up and take some snaps early on so we can figure out who is the most competent back.

Clyde? Last night on that screen pass he just mauled people when he got it
Posted on 11/26/17 at 2:59 pm to SilverStallion
Yep and I think Donte has maxed out his upside. He's seems to be a quicker study than Tolliver imo.

I hope so. We have 0 top 150 recruits as of this moment. I do understand that this is essentially a depth class so far however. Hopefully we get Kelvin Joseph, Marshall, Surtain, Joiner, and Traore and two or three surprises

Honestly, I don't, I was just being facetious, messing around, but really though there was nothing wrong with that comment. lol

I think Tolliver leaves too even though he could use more work, but they both will have to be coached up in the NFL. Both of their coverage skills is really lacking.
