Is that we have a stud CB with greedy a stud S with delpit and a stud LB with white. We signed defensive tackles and ends. We will be ok. Just need the QB to step up and be great. We have the receivers...

Next year we will get the defensive backs we Will actually need

And that stud CB will be draft eligible. Given recent history — he gone.

why do we have to pick between the two? Why can't we expect to load up every season?

Keep lowering the bar though folks

You do realize that more than 1 CB, S, and LB are on the field, right?

Sure. 9-4 is “ok”

But I am happy with all the big bodies in this class. I don’t think it’s a disaster of a class. I don’t like the state of the program, but just this class itself isn’t horrible.

Is it?

a lot easier to help one cb than 2. Being able to shutdown one side of the field is huge.

Keep lowering that bar. Keep being ok with being ok. Keep being happy with 3rd and 4th in the SEC West. If you do you are bound to be a happy Tiger Fan. You would have really loved the mediocre years prior to 2003.

The bad news is that depth wins championships. You can have one of everything and it doesn't matter. Bama essentially benched their whole offense for a bunch of 5star freshman and came back to beat Georgia in the national championship game.

That's recruiting. That's winning. That's Saban.

Don't come here with facts. Look at the Coach O haters already and the downvotes. You won't convince them of anything else. We can go on and win the NC and they will still say it was a fluke

No way unless O really shits the bed this year, which is possible but maybe not probable. it looks like a 8-4 season-ish. which will give him another year considering what the 2019 in-state talent pool looks like. Admin won't want to rock the boat.

But if he does go 8-4 his 3rd year, depending on the 2019 recruiting class, could be his final year. He won't last another sub 10 win season and neither will Aleva if that happens!

We have a HC no one wanted with no history of winning teamed with an OC no one wanted and we have lost at least 2 or 3 elite recruits per year and we signed no CBs or QBs this year.

Just for the sake of argument, if LSU, by some miracle, won the NC next year, how would that not be defined as a "fluke"? What can you point to on the team right now not named "Aranda", that would support your argument?
