I remember being in high school and was second handed a rivals account. I first remember being blown away by this junior running back named Noel Devine. But that senior class of 2006 is when I got hooked on recruiting. I remember hearing all about Tim Tebow but thinking this Matthew Stafford kid from Texas will end up being better in the long run.

Didn't get into following recruiting until around 2008
Always been a fan but never followed recruiting while still in school (hs and college)
I do remember Tebow because of the show 2 a days on mtv lol they talked about how big of a recruit he was.

Remember how big Faulk was in 1995. Living in Texas and remember watching a recruiting show with some guy named Forrest, or something like that, and going over the DEs from Houston Willie Harvey and Derrion Yates. Only got worse from there on.

It's this website's fault I care about recruiting. Class of 2007. I remember thinking we would get McKnight and having that dream crushed.

I started in the early 90s when I was at LSU. I think the Hallman class with the 5 top RBs (Davis, Butler, Johnson, Toomer, and Moore) was the first. The Forrest that you referenced was Forrest Davis. I used to buy his magazine as well as Jeff Whitaker's in addition to the Tiger Rag in the pre-internet days.

2001, still think it's our best class ever.

early 90's. was interested in the 80's but it was
waay too hard getting info.
I used to collect the newspapers' recruit rankings, or rather 1-5A local and all-state selections from both BR and NOLA

if you followed recruiting in the 80's and 90's, YOU TOO may just be a Les Miles' loyalist. lol

Followed a little in 2001 with Clayton and Spears. A little closer in 2002 with Lester Ricard and Justin Vincent's first signing. Then full blown follower in '03 with the O. Perry Walker kids, Dwayne Bowe out of Florida and all the Jamarcus drama.

Tiger Rag was the most current source (weekly) and even then I had to wait until my buddy finished it and brought it to class (at LSUA). With the advent of the internet, Dandy Don got me following it every day.
