Not to pick at a scab but all of you that ranked Tony Brown over Speedy is crazy and just talking out hurt.

Speedy will be a pro player and drafted. I think Tony brown will be good as well. but he has freshman starting over him now. he is a special teams guys. Not even sure he comes in on nickel.

I know Kirk has upstaged Speedy but I think he is dealing with an injury that has kept him off field not depth.

Bottom line is at this time: the two LSU got have far exceeded the three they didn't. Yes Speedy and Brown still have a chance, but it is hard to believe either will be better than LF and JA.

Curious, how often have you noticed Jamal Adams getting thrown on?

I've seen him step out the way and allow a quarterback to run 60 yards for a touchdown. I've seen him bite hard on a fake screen and give up another touchdown. I've seen him drop interceptions. And last year he misplayed a receiver against Bama which cost us the game. No one seemed to notice that, but if Adams fulfills his responsibility on the first (?) play of the last drive we beat Bama.

Look, the guy's a great athlete, but how many game changing plays has he made? He's not in the same class with Mathieu and Peterson. If he was coming out this year, and I was drafting, I'd pass.

We had no more recruiting gurus (so they thought) after that day.

I agree with you on Adams. He is our best safety and a damn good one at that. But he is overhyped. He is not the playmaker many pump him up to be. He is a very solid athlete that plays his position very well, yet not elite....not yet. I beleive he will gradually get better and get to that level but right now Adams is a bit overhyped. Best one of the 5 behind LF? Yes.

I have connections with people very involved in the A&M program and they are surprised Speedy is still even on the team. The Speedy/Sumlin relationship hit its last wall this season and he will most likely not be there next year.

Tony Brown is still very good. I'm not throwing him out just yet. Bama has talent. Brown would be starting over RJ at safety next to Adams right now. He is no pushover. Huge loss? Nope.
