While Simmons timeline has been headed in the direction of December for months, I have decided to enter an On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine pick at 65% for the Longhorns to eventually land the 5-star “must get” recruit.

I saw him raging earlier. Not a good look but seems mental . There’s nothing for anyone to freak out about with Simmons. He’s just on his Texas visit. But I gotta give the boss man his clicks

If NIL is the deciding factor for a recruit…and I know that’s not always the case…but if it is, I don’t see how we compete with UTa and aTm. There’s just so much more money in Texas. One law firm can’t compete against and economy that boasts 26 Fortune 500 companies.

Doesn’t appear NiL is a major factor here

Get back to me end of November on this recruitment. Just to much time left, games to be played, and still OV left.

Agree. In the sense of does it matter? Yes but the market is the market and he's gonna get essentially the same deal no matter who he chooses. Meaning not a big enough difference to matter a ton at the end of the day. Everyone will match everyone(unless someone goes hulk) so it will basically boil down to a pre-nil recruitment of sorts. Relationships, playing time, fit etc. May the best staff win.

Makes you wonder if the probation charges on LSU is making them take a step back in this recruiting class and more careful with underhanded NIL.

We need some hug five stars in this class honestly. It’s a great class already but guys like Simmons can have the Perkins affect…which is shows stars do matter. I’m on board with this class and BK. I just don’t think we can downplay the magnitude of some of these 5 stars.

Sark is on the hot seat and Texas as a program is in a constant state of disarray. Lack of talent taken in high rounds of the drafts over the past X amount of years, and the lackluster play and results of the hyped Texas team with Ewers and Worthy, makes me simply say wait. LSU’s progress on both sides of the ball and the continued development of Smith, Perkins, Mingo, among others, could play a factor in landing these recruits. Completely agree, revisit this come fall, when Sark is on the way out after an abysmal season, with Texas destined for the middle of the pack in the SEC in the coming years.
