Even if Turner or Isaac or Stringer transfer out, it doesn't mean we need to take Swilling. That spot is better off being saved for someone in the next recruiting class. Maybe that changes if more than one SG is on the way out.

If no one is leaving we would have
1 - Hickey, Stringer, Hammink
2 - Turner, Stringer, Morgan, Isaac, Hammink, Swilling
3 - Coleman, Hammmink, Turner?

The only thing Ralston can do is shoot.

When he's bad he's terrible. When he gets a little hot he can put up a nice stat linem

Maybe this is a way to push kids out?

Swilling can't even really do that. Maybe he can defend, but I still don't see the upside of having him on the roster for two more years, unless his dad is paying his way.

Gives us a body with familiarity with New orleans for recruiting purposes? But shite, the talent next year is in BR and he's basically gone after that.

I thought we said we are not filling schollys just to put bodies in place

Ralston has struggled in the SEC, Swilling Jr. has been mediocre in what ... juco ball?

If this is a walk on situation then that's great ... but it doesn't sound as such.

Well look at it this way. Hammink can play multiple spots. Coleman can play 2 or 3. Swilling is a 2. Could still have all of them on the court. Not all 2 guards.

Little confused over this. Coleman is a better version of Swilling and a way better scorer. Like I said in another thread, I am all for adding depth, but we really need some big guys right now bad.

Maybe he's the new Garrett Temple A utility player who can defend.

I am not sure what you mean. LINK

With the addition of JOB, Hickey and Hamilton he became more efficient. If you ask me this kid is a solid SEC player and he will only get better with competition.

LSU needs a big now leaving one scholly for next season. With Ludwig graduating and 1-2 casualties you will have 3-4 schollies to work with next season.

Quick audible as I forgot about Morgan.

Probably going to lose Isaac or Stringer if LSU takes Swilling.

If we are going to be running 100 mph all season, wouldn't we want more guards as fresh legs?

Swilling may be trolling like last week when Randy jumped the gun off of tweets and Swilling hadn't even had a conversation with Jones

@ScarboroughMike: College of Southern Idaho guard Pat Swilling Jr., a native of New Orleans, confirmed that he committed to LSU... LINK

Never visited, that I am aware of. Seems an odd take, but the coaches know what their roster needs to look like. This would seem to indicate transfers, but that is just an assumption.

Swilling is more of a combo guard and could play the point in a backup role.

There must have been a fake Johnny Jones twitter trolling on Swillings twitter like 20 minutes ago I saw all kind of comments on his twitter talking about him going to LSU. Now it is not there.

Weird
