That's a crazy situation to be in! For him to step up says a lot about his character - especially the fact that he went with the "get her attention and try to talk it out" tactic first.

He's very lucky that the situation didn't result in anyone's death/injury - especially his own.

Question though. Wouldn't the number of people he saved only be as high as the number of bullets in the gun? Not trying to be a ranter but could a defense attorney make that point and a court hold it up?

The counterpoint would be that she could ahve killed any of the 22 people on the bus. Maybe not all of them, but any of them.

She's not going to court for the amount of people she could have killed.
