What exactly happened with his recruitment? He seems like a stud at rb.

Where to begin...its a long story.
The cliff notes are simply that we liked Spencer Ware more and we got him.

Don't worry, Hat has a plan.
It may look chaotic, but there is a deeper meaning.
Right now, the plan will come to the surface in 2016, the last year of his high-priced-rollover.
Just be patient and FEAR THE HAT!!

YOUR KIDDING RIGHT?
Storm Johnson wasn't ever offered because he isn’t that good. He told Les he wanted to commit to LSU and Les told him to hold off, because he had a lot of work to do.
Instead he and his Dad tried to put pressure on Les and announced his 'commitment' to LSU anyway.
Then LSU signed three RBs and was going after Lache, Johnson realized he wasn't going to get an offer from LSU so he 'decommitted'.
You BLATHERING IDIOTS complain and criticize everything about the program because of your Les Miles Derangement and you just tear down the program you supposedly love regardless of whether or not you have a clue, and you don't!

Come on man, give it a rest. Why must you try to denigrate the kid to make your fricking point? Damn, idiocy goes both ways too, 'ya know.

Southern, you are correct. We had other players that we wanted more -- Ware, Blue, Gore ( Lake ). Les should NOT be critisized for this.

RBs for LSU is not the concern and I feel like is the strongest point in this class and next years class.

Storm is a pretty good rb but the general consensus is that he's lazy and selfish...

This. You guy's can have 5 great rb's but without an o.line it won't do much good.

WRONG.........very good player with some supposive attitude problems from High School.....I think everyone thought Seastrunk.....
we ended up with Gore as a replacement

I'll agree that Storm is good from the film that I've seen, but an Auburn fan called in to one of our local sports talk shows and said that Storm was the best back in the nation...better than Ware, Dyer, Latt, and Seastrunk.
All the guys would concede was that he had the best name of a running back this year.

I don't think Lache or Gore had anything to do with Storm...We ended up with Ware instead of Storm.

I have followed Storm since he was a little RB and know the family well. He did have an offer from LSU. He developed a great relationship with Porter. Miles really wanted Sistrunk and put Storm on hold. His family wasn't having that. No character problems or grade issues here. A really great kid. In many eyes, he is the best in the nation. He is No. 1 in Georgia. Mack Brown dropped to No. 3. Non-believers are going to be surprised. That boy can run the rock. Ware and Gore will do great things at LSU. Storm will do his at Miami.

quote:Well named to run for the Miami Hurricanes - Storm Johnson. Perfect. I wish him well. And if LSU did play him and did make an offer (only to put it on hold), it's too bad we didn't honor that offer. That kind of broken word gets around recruit world, too.

Several players reached out to Storm, including.......to find out what happened. That's why they're not with LSU, even though Miles always thought he had a chance.

Slow played him for Spencer Ware, who is better.
So we win.
So we win.
