If it’s truly based on cost of living, the university doesn’t decide what it is. I work a job where I receive per Diem . The cost of living isn’t higher in Tuscaloosa than BR.

Ah, have a friend who plays safety in the pac 12 and the number he gave me was about what i see in that link. he made it very clear that he got that much each month though. Either said pac 12 school is paying players very handsomely or my friend was just fricking with me

Those numbers are per year, not month. Students get 400-600 per month.

I have no doubt Coach O will do everything in his power to get the stipend up if that’s what needs to happen.

Shoot $200 or $300 per month even $100 per month is pretty significant for these kids and you darn right it can be a difference maker if a kid isn't dead set on playing for LSU.

If a guy doesn't grow up a huge LSU fan or doesn't mind leaving home or he's deciding between 4 championship level schools, you darn right that can make his decision a little easier. Those 3 or 4 kids who don't come to LSU because of this can make all the difference in the world.

LSU needs to be dishing out what Bama is at the very least. Shoot I would go even higher if we could. LSU has the money for it. That's just greed if we aren't giving it to them. Raise the cost of living reported for these kids LSU!!!

The stipend doesn’t matter one bit to football recruits. They’re receiving much more regardless of what the stipend is.

Bama players getting about 540 a month vs $320 a month for LSU players makes a difference in recruiting to a kid who grew up with nothing. Why do we shoot ourselves in the foot like this? The cost of raising this is just a drop in the bucket compared to the overall cost of the program. It's the little things like this that we do to ourselves that frick us over. We can't even keep up with the above the board money and the shady money(jobs, cars, apts, etc), much less the under-the-table bagman money. How in the hell do you expect to catch up to them when we even frick up the little things?

I'm no rocket scientist, but how the hell does it cost more to go to school at ULM than at Tulane. The cost of living in New Orleans is way more than in Funroe.

Just one more thing the NCAA has no clue on.
Should be standard across the board for everyone.

Yes we can. You should just be quiet you know very little of what you're saying like right here

What does that even mean? Do you even know?

No one can go toe to toe with Bama but our system is pretty strong and pays good.
