I don't doubt the guy may be good in 4 years but we need someone who can play 2 years from now. Is that Ely, Prescott, Brissett or someone else? I dont know. But its def not this guy. You said as much yourself. They HAVE to sign someone or get a transfer who can step in in 2012 and be ready.

all I know is xbengal has a tendency to open his mouth about matters he has no knowledge of.

As has been said, this was just the first game of the season. Let's see how this season goes for Rivers, and not be too quick to judge him after just one game. Ely didn't exactly show much either.

I saw the news highlights FWIW.
So he sucks against the second best team on the schedule so he gets an automatic pass because he's an LSU commit? Hilarious.

You saw the news highlights and have come to the conclusion that he was a liability to his team?

Elleshoe is a F**k-tard who should be banned from further posting. There is nothing good that could ever come from this guys horseshite commentary about LSU football (not to mention talking shite about a 17yo kid who bleeds P&G). A dude who saw the game and actually lives in Athens, Al said that the guy actually looked good, yet this joker in Mandeville, LA claims the guy to be detrimental to his HS team. Do us all a favor and refrain from further commentary. Congratulations, everyone now takes anything you say with a proverbial grain of salt. Flame away

FWIW, Brett Favre's primary job as a high school QB was to block for his RB. USM's pretty happy he slipped through the cracks.

sarcasm never gets by you moneyg

I didn't see the game. I read shite people posted about him and can read a stat line. 85 yards passing? Wow. Read the rivals main board. not too many good things to say about the guy's performance from his first game. he was pretty much torn apart.

I hope I'm wrong but I don't think this guy is exactly our answer to the QB woes we are going to face. We need to sway Ely and land Prescott or Jones or even take all three. Rivers looked terrible in his game this weekend and like he was actually a liability.
Your OP sounds like you saw him play, not like you formed your opinion after reading other opinions posted on the internet.
Let's stick to opinions from people who are qualified and have seen him play.

my apologies sid. either way, its crucial we sign someone in this class who is capable of playing their RS fresh or soph year (2012) at LSU.

I am not going to judge Rivers based on one game, much less the first game of a season. I see Prescott play every week and I know how good he is, but he looked bad Friday night. If someone judged him based on that performance they would gravely misjudge him.

That's even worse. You saw nothing and have decided that he was a liability to his team...in high school football.
Well done.

So in your opinion Rivers looked terrible. Yet you didn't see him play.
You looked at the stats and read a message board whose posters probably share the same amount of rationale as found on the rant.
Next time you pull shite like this add a disclaimer at the bottom that states you never actually saw him play. Thanks
