weak arm, keeps it way to low, has Payton Manning feet.
..I still like him as a project,,he does have a knack for finding an open guy which is great.

Don't know how to feel about this one honestly.

One way to look at it is he's the best QB commit we have for this particular class. Until someone beats him, I'm happy about it. We are about to get back into the cycle that we should've been where we can groom a kid for a couple years. We're not asking Rivers to start next year.

Wish they would have offered CHS Zack Oliver instead.

Give me the QB from Ohio also and I won't be disapointed with the QB haul.
how many QB's do you want on the squad?
wait and see if Z Lee stays. if so, we have on 3 scholarship and two walk ons (bailey and TC).

His dad's a HS coach?
Should we hire to be our offensive coordinator? Kill 2 birds one stone type of thing?

Watched his video. I'm not much of a scout but here is what I saw.
1) play maker
2) gets rid of the ball quick
3) seems to be able to buy time and wait for receivers to get open
4) low release point for college but he is 6'6"
5) Under threw several receivers that would have scored or gone for more yardage otherwise
6) Needs to put on some pounds
7) Looks like a lot of potential and very confident the way he plays

To me this is what you have to love about the kid:
Assuming the offer list is legit, he's got offer from:
Norm Chow/Rick Neuheisel - both highly respected with QBs
Jimbo Fisher - highly respected with QBs
Jim Chaney - highly respected with QBs
Jim Harbaugh - highly respected with QBs
Now, maybe they are all taking the leap based on genetics, but I think they obviously see something here.

Rivers is from ALABAMA.
imagine the homer insanity on this thread if Alabama gets one of the remaining few high end Louisiana high school recruits.

I agree. I also find some comfort in the fact that a kid whose brother plays in the NFL chose LSU. Seems to suggest that at least some people in the know don't think Miles is a moron.

At 17 or 18 his body is still adjusting to a rapid growth. It takes time for his body type to mature. His upside is great! Glad to have him, welcome aboard!

He'll probably be looking for a job in BR ... when Philip Rivers went to NC State, he moved the family to Raleigh and took a high school coaching job there. Maybe he can give Crowton some pointers.

I don't understand the lovefest with Oliver, well except that he goes to Catholic. He showed NOTHING against WM last year. I'm pretty sure the SEC>>>>>>>>>>>>>>WM. I like this pick up personally. The kid has a good pedigree, is huge, and has a great arm. Like someone posted earlier, look at who offered him.
