This is an ideal situation for Stephen and LSU IMO. This kid could be very good if he's allowed to develop in the program rather than forced into a starting position. Comes in behind JJ, JL and ZL next year.

Well we know he comes from good stock.
Watching his tape, he looks like a gamer. Resourceful, throws well on the run, can avoid pressure. He's got kind of a funny, Vince Young-type release, but I aint really worried about that. Great pick up.

He looks like a solid QB and is very similar to his older brother. From watching his film it looks like he throws off of his back foot a lot. And he has decent mobility for his size.

Well LSU still wants Ely really bad so if they want him, they will get them. LSU i probably going to get at least two QBs in the class anyway, but this shouldn't scare Ely. Not saying we get him, but I'm just saying you should still be encouraged,

yes..very tall and skinny with a weird release..but he's accurate and has a nice arm for a kid his sixe,should be fun to watch him develop..also a capeable runner
