Ok, I agree. With that said Raymond is the one that got played. O didn't have the relationship.

Doesn't matter to me that anyone got played. That's recruiting, it happens. It's happened in the past and it'll happen in the future.

What's inexcusable is to put all of your eggs in one basket and be left with nothing because you either didn't read the situation right or you left the depth of your secondary unit to the word of a 18 year old kid. That's on Orgeron, not Raymond.

Lmao.. how the frick are you supposed to have a contingency plan, when they assumed the whole time that Surtain was coming? What’d you want them to do? Tell Surtain to GTFO, and sign Goodrich? That’s absolutely asinine

Comes with the job - no way you can go in with 3 spots to fill and some huge glaring holes and come up empty handed. This is the one task he is supposed to be the best at. And don't confuse me for an O basher - I was fine and excited with the higher and have not fully turned on him until yesterday. If you risk going after the big fish at the expense of any other option - you better fricking close

I haven’t blamed anyone.. I just think that the people bashing O for Surtain flipping (or not having a ‘contingency plan’) are wrong

Sorry that is the job. To sit here and say getting no CBs was OK when we have probably 3 on scholly (4 if Fulton can roll) is preposterous. We should have been taking two. But instead he held out for a QB and failed. He gambled on the big fish CB and failed. He failed. Simple as that.

One of the main selling points of the O hire was his ability to recruit, yet here we are with our worst class since 2005, when Les had all of a month to recruit and still pulled a top 15 class with only 13 signees.

People are finally waking up the reality that the school doesn't recruit itself and that Les' recruiting was under-appreciated outside of QBs.

Make sure you have room to sign both?

You get a A+ (logical philosophy here is extinct!)

The problem was never having room for both. They had enough schollies to sign Goodrich and Surtain, but they were holding out for Foster.

Thats the problem I have for this whole mess....You had a kid at a needed position that wanted to come, but you told him no because you were holding a spot for a QB that was never intending to come here. That was where O screwed up. He should have taken Goodrich and told Foster he didn't have a spot for him until after Surtain picked Bama

On what fricking planet do you take goodrich before surtain? Y’all stupid motherfrickers reach so damn much to shite on O
You don't, but the writing was more on the wall with Foster leaving than it was with Goodrich. Could have easily taken both Goodrich and Surtain.

Yes, some of the things he does deserves criticism, but frick man, stop trying to spin everything just to fit your agenda...

Fit MY agenda? Is this not what happened? This is the agenda, dumbass.
