Would only be good for us, right?

Every year someone says wait until next year. Louisiana will be loaded next year. And while we still get decent classes, nothing epic. This year just feels like it's going to be epic. No nick saben stealing our guys. Nil or whatever is going on is making a difference.
If we keep what we got and add some more high four stars, won't really matter if we finish first in recruiting. Would like some more cb, and a really good dl and we are set. Anything else would be cherry on top.

Sounds like he’s implying that Patrick Peterson got NIL money 13 years before NIL was legal ?
He certainly got paid. Its a matter of fact not speculation. Its mentioned in old notice of allegations paperwork. He was tied to the Willie Lyles/Baron Flenory network. Ron Cooper did recruit. Just not in a traditional sense. Ironically, Oregon took all the heat off us as Chip Kelly and company were really tied in with those guys. Lache Seastrunk among others as well. Kelly bolted when the heat got turned up.

Exactly, we're almost set at DL I'm thinking, looks like we'll end up with 5 DL, think we already are forecasted for one more DT, we're now picking up steam at DB, if Antoine is really pushing his announcement back til the bayou splash that's huge....#1, 2 or 3....it'll be an epic class and 26 is super loaded, with the new D staff there's nothing to hold us back

LSU is going to put Bruce Warner in the hospital.
If you can't take that heat, get out the kitchen.
They were calling some 10 day period where they were/are supposed to be getting multiple 4 star recruits including 5 star Pickett, the 'Ten Days of Madness'. The show host kept talking about they hope this doesn't turn into 10 days of sadness
And hell, they decided to blow the doors off the going rate for a regular DT in the transfer portal, so we backed off. You can't complain now when you were pumping your chest out then.

Brian Kelly is not messing around. There is a reason why he won every place he's been. He's not a young buck any more but is setting us up for years too come. What iam impressed with is if he sees a problem, he fixes it. He won't hesitate to fire anybody that is not pulling their weight. But shows loyalty to the coaches that do.
He could have hired a more well known offensive coordinator but instead promoted within. And I absolutely loved that. The ideal scenario would be to have his replacement from within. But hopes he has another 10 years or more still in him. Plus we don't have to worry about him seeking another head coaching job in college or NFL.

If he only has 4-5, I’m pulling for Drinkowitz

We are building one hell of a class. These 2 gets will be just what we need at this point.

heard a certain prominent booster in Miami was a big reason LSU landed Pickett similar to Patrick Peterson. Don't know how true it is but the guns are loaded apparently
Would be great news if that avenue starting being proactive again. We have a well documented supply chain in that area when things are aligned. Have to remember we've gone toe to toe with the big boys in the money game over the years, particularly in FL. PP7, Bowe, Highsmith, Trent Richardson(that was a fun one), Terrace Toliver, Surtain, etc. Not gonna win them all. Being willing and able to compete on that level is all you can ask for. $15 mil plus incentives allows for winning your share of battles.

I have a feeling that this 2025 class is going to win a natty sometime. Especially if we land studs on the dl in 26

I’m curious to see if by then Blake Baker is HC material in that timeline. He loves being back in LA

I think Joe Sloan would have something to say about this. I know that Baker, by virtue of having been hired by big programs as a coordinator twice by now, is a little higher in the overall CFB-wide coordinator pecking order, but with the way Sloan has developed and recruited the QB position thus far, I would be incredibly reluctant to pass him over for the HC position, provided he is as-expected in the OC role. Imagine having a HC that all but guarantees you great QB play as long as he's there - Lincoln Riley has proven that it's not a guarantee, but I can't imagine LSU defense could ever be as much of a long-term problem at LSU as it's been for Riley.
Obviously a long ways to go before any of this even becomes a talking point, let alone reality, but in an ideal scenario I think Baker and Sloan both wind up as top-end HC candidates. If that scenario comes to pass, I think I'd push my chips in with Sloan.

Looking like he’s all Miami. Maybe we can get him back.
