Scout has Ware as running a 4.6 at a combine so he probally has the same top end speed as Chuck but he seems to cut better and may have a better initial burst of speed. Looks very fast getting through the hole.

Watch the vid of him turning back and front flips form a stand still and you will see he carries his weight very well.

I would love to watch the Wild Ware.

When asked why he selected LSU, Ware said, "I like the connections the players have with the coaches and the academic people. I like where LSU is located. I don't like to be cold. I like their style of offense. I like the stadium and the school. I like everything."

First off, Morten Anderson was from Denmark...

We've already got Dominique Allen, Worle and possibly even Bates at FB. We have enough fricking fullbacks to last forever.
Second, there is a BIG difference between a blocking back (BB) and a fullback (FB). We've been using BB's and calling them FB's. Think of the "old" pro sets with two backs and either of them capable of carrying the ball. Sets up a lot of misdirection options.
Now if we are shifting towards the FB option (Hester fit, Scott fits as well), perhaps we do start taking more of them. So I can see us taking Storm as well.
Now imagine this... Triple Option with Shep at QB, Ware at FB, and Trindon or Lache at TB. Damn...

Okay Lache or Calhoun, no Trindon... still DAMN!
...But now that I've had time to read the rest of the posts, it doesn't seem that Storm will be a Tiger.

why do you think Storm won't sign w/ LSU??? you've got to believe in Les. he know's what he's doing out there. not saying that Storm is a lock, but i can't see Les losing out on him for Ware. not when Ware has a position that is yet to be determined.

Spencer Ware. Wow... dude's an athlete. Back flips, front flips, vertical. He has cutting ability/agility like "early" Justin Vincent in our '03 BCS season. It's pretty obvious that the bigger you are the "slower" you are. You guys need to see his videos. Wow - he has not even played his Senior HS year yet and he would leave you and me grasping for air as he goes by. If he decided (were you and I facing him on the field - been there, done that) he would just as easily run over us instead of outrunning us. Yes, he does remind me a lot of Charles Scott. Great pickup, Tigers. Welcome .... Spencer Ware.
Spencer, come on down!!!! Geauxx Tigers!!!!!!!

Sorry but everything points to Ware's position being determined as a RB. Most likely scenario is that the staff had Ware higher than Storm on their board, and when Storm wanted to commit they went to Ware, said they had another big back wanting to jump on board and gave him a time frame. Ware then committed.

I am very disappointed that we will not be taking Storm if the reports are true. He had great numbers despite not starting. I wish we could some how create room for him. He really seemed excited about being a tiger, which leaves me feeling bad for the guy. I am excited what Ware brings to the table, but I like what Storm can do as well. I wonder how many times Ware was sacked as a QB, because his stats say he averaged like 4.7 yards per carry, which is not really great for a highly rated player. It looked like he did not have a good o-line in front of him because he was recieving constant pressure in the pocket.

I don't know where you got that from but what I saw for his YPC was over 6.
