Josh Williford 2.0

Williford was a 2 yr starter ('11 & '12) until injured and would likely have been a 3 yr starter barring injury.

If Granier is JW 2.0 he is a take all day long in this class.

My sister teaches at South Lafourche High School. I asked her if she heard that Bailey had decommitted from Vanderbilt. She told me that she had not heard but would ask him when she went to school the next day. She came back with info that he had indeed decommitted from Vandy. He sited the coach leaving and many players who committed had changed their minds as well. She also told me that his best friend told her that Bailey wants to go to LSU. He would take an offer in a heart beat. His heart is with LSU. That is where he has always wanted to go. Come on Tigers give this young man a shot. He bleeds purple and gold.

You have to believe he's a Tiger at heart not to take a Bama offer over Vandy.

and before anyone says it, a Burton Burns offer will probably be committable.

Heard he tried to set up an official and no one returned a phone call as of last Friday.

Going forward he's really good, pass blocking he struggles

Well, with a new OL Coach, pass blocking will be addressed, because that was the knock on Stud to begin with- he couldn't coach pass blocking!
I think Granier is worth a shot, and I think he would grab an LSU offer. Right now projects at guard, but given proper coaching and foot speed improvement, and with his size, don't rule out tackle!

the real question is whether he is a better prospect than rodriguez. rodriguez seems to be ours for the taking if we add a 4th ol.

Hey Tiger in Texas, you are 100% correct. My sister told me that he said he would grab an LSU offer in a heartbeat. He bleeds purple and gold. I know he needs some improvement but which lineman doesn't. He is a hard worker and will do whatever it takes. The young man is now a member of the basketball team and the main reason he is playing ball is because he wants to remain in shape and help with his agility.

best thing for him to do is wait for signing day and see what happens. got 7 or so spots to fill, always some signing day additions that werent targets the whole time.

IF he can get that offer. He visits the 31st I think, so the numbers may be clearer at that time (at least to staff, not to us). Maybe something will happen then.

Have they turned him down? I thought he was visiting at the end of this month?

Where are you getting this info from? A 9 post history keeps my confidence low on this intel. Credibility yet to be determined. Granier seemed like a project, so I'm not doubting your info, just curious where it came from.

I guess Franklin and Herb Hand thought he was good enough at Vandy but not at Penn St. He should try to recommit to Vandy.

Yea, doesn't look like he has too many other options.

Yeah, if LSU doesn't offer this kid, they better have something else in the works. He is a project, but one not worth passing on. Come on Coach Grimes, you can do it!
