Why is Phillips do interested in A&M? Odd for a Patterson kid.

He likes the style of defense they run and a few other things.

maybe because A&M is a top institution with an alumni base larger than LSU.

I think people freaked out on the coach because of the comments Lorenzo gave in an interview where he said he had fully weighed all the options with his family and decided on A&M. Immediately afterwards the LSU rivals site spoke to the coach and had some quotes about not accepting his commitment. This is what lead people to the conclusion that the coach was pushing him towards LSU when it was really the coach wanted to to allow Lorenzo to make the most informed decision possible.
Probably could have handled it a little better, but in the end it's better he make the best decision and stick with it than leave someone hanging much later in the game. I'm sure his coach feels that way too which is probably what prompted him to take action to make sure the kid was making the most informed decision.

Their alumni base is very very wealthy...thin Auburn on steroids...don't doubt me on this!

And yet they had one of the largest boosters outside of Phil Knight at their school until they took away his basketball scholarship.
T. Boone Pickens was an A&M basketball player before losing his scholly

I've never heard a recruit mention this when picking one school over another. They don't give a damn about this.

If that turns out to be true then it could go 2 ways.1 and most likely to me is that we won't offer Trevon and they'd both end up elsewhere.2 if we ofer Trevon then they'll both be LSu whether TAM offers or not.Every time i've seen something in regards to Trevon it's obvious that he'd be all LSu if offered.I just don't see it at this point.he could blow the coaches away at camp but right now i don't see him getting an offer a cb.All that said i highly doubt the package plan works for any school unless LSU offers both. Then what happens when the wr Jaydrick(I don't want to butcher his last name so I won't try without being sure)gets an offer from LSU or a different school. He seems to be close with Stewart as well. He's another that is all LSU if offered and his offer seems much more likely.Just my opinion and who knows. It's March.Long way until next FEB.Not worth being concerned about at this point.

Well Trevons been tearin it up at the under armour combines so if he keeps it up I wouldn't be suprised if lsu offered. We normally go to the lsu 7 on 7 tourny too so that'll be another chance to impress the coaches there. I think declouette will end up at lsu if he keeps workin like he has been. I think it's a better fit for him over all. I wouldn't be suprised either way as far as all three of them ending up at the sane school.
