Dabo is really charismatic and they have developed a really good brand there. That shite wouldn't work in the SEC. Too many rivals going after the same kids
Totally agree. He has a unique situation at Clemson, at least for the time being. I don’t see any SEC program duplicating the same recruiting process effective.

He doesn’t pull the offer. Clemson traditionally offers the fewest number of scholarships each year. They target their 1-5 players at each position and only offer a select few from that list. Once someone commits, and the numbers are full at a position, they shut down the recruiting at that position. Dabo tells the kids don’t commit until you are ready to. If you want to check out other schools, that’s fine. But that means you aren’t ready to commit. Players in past have committed, but then expressed interest in visiting other schools. So they decommitted. But the offer wasn’t pulled. Clemson continues to recruit the kid, but also explores other kids. This happened with Shaq Smith. He de omitted. Started visiting other schools. Eventually re committed

We are burned (loosing players) on an average of 2-4 times per year....I'd say (late flip).
What types of players has that cost us because of the late flip? Could those 2-4 players per year be program defining?
3 or 4 years of that...I guess it can hurt.
Another reason why the Dabo's method could help with this..

Sounds like CEO needs to start implementing this rule moving forward.

we havent lost even one unused slot at the end of a recruiting cycle (yet). So far, when ever we have had a late flip that has left a slot open we have been able to use it at a later date on much needed transfers (Burrow, Lewis, etc.). If we would not be in need of any transfers, we would always be able to use them in the next recruiting class as backcounters.

I dont see any benefit at all for LSU to implement the Dabo recruiting rule. It would just be self imposed limitations on our ability to get the best 25 we could get, which to me seems to be what LSU should be doing these days

that if they visit elsewhere they lose their offer? Why can't we do that?
i don't have any problem with Dabo doing that to his recruits... what i do have a problem with is the clear and obvious double standard in which he operates... he has no problem with allowing other schools commits visit but doesn't let his commits visit elsewhere....
if you are so pious and moral, or whatever justification he may want to use for this, then if you don't allow commits to visit other schools, then you should abide by that same standard and you shouldn't allow recruits who are verbal commits elsewhere visit your place...
