I can understand this, and it probably happens at other schools too. It is easy to forget your committs and turn your focus on getting the other guys.

With all the recruiting services and rankings. All the All American statuses it's amazing how these kids don't loose their minds. Some start to believe all the hype around about themselves and get upset and angry if they don't get a call from the head coach once or twice a week. It doesn't mean that your not priority just there is still a lot of work to be done with other recruits

What? It's improper to point things out?

Should I kiss his arse after this? What else can I do but wish him the best?

It's true that they moved to Gonzales to get more exposure for boo, and I think it was smart on their part.

If he's happier in Stillwater, hey man, see ya! Glad it's ooc.

What part of that comes across as negative?

I was really looking forward for this kid to come in...

I was having visions of the return of the Dalton(Boo) James(Fournette) gang but better.

Oh well... We'll be good anyway.

This is what pisses me off about recruting. These kids, who probably most turn out to be busts, are such divas before theyve even done anything at the next level. I can understand why grown men who are coaches dont want to recruit. "Aw the wittle baby isnt happy I dont txt him everyday?"

I haven't spoken to Boo's Dad yet, but I think he was feeling ignored by LSU and OSU was making him a big time priority.

I get where you're coming from, but the kid just had knee surgery and the staff told him they were behind him. He's committed, and the staff is committed to him, what else is there to talk about? Boo was obviously the priority at RB over DW if he was being offered as an ATH, and the Cook rumors literally just started.

Fournette must have told him that he's coming to LSU

He's the third rb commit for osu and the lowest rated. Plus one of their commits is the number 1 juco back and is also an all purpose back. Don't understand it but good luck to him.

Yeah, I'm as surprised as anyone else, maybe more so after seeing all the work he put in to get the LSU offer.
But one thing I DO KNOW, the Palelei's didn't move to Gonzales for exposure as Big Ed keeps saying. Ed, either find wtf you keep citing and share it, or stfu. Nobody moves to Gonzales, LA for exposure. EA ain't exactly Curtis.
Eta, I know the family reads this and Im sure they appreciate the well wishes. Glad it's being kept classy on here.

If that's why he de-committed from LSU, then frick him. Hopefully, there's a better reason than that.

I've been one of Sione's biggest supporters and advocates. Disappointed to hear about his de-committment.

Assuming the lack of contact is true, LSU likely ignored him on purpose. They were going to honor his commit but they were looking around due to serious questions about his ACL injury. If he stayed, great. If he didn't, that's ok too. That's probably how LSU felt seeing as they were already targeting a few RBs after he got hurt anyway.

And not a knock on Williams at all but I seriously doubt he stays at RB. I think they're going to press hard for Cook. They originally wanted Williams as an athlete and most likely LB, so that's probably where they still want him. Sell him what he wants to hear and decide what to do with him on campus. They will honor and give him a shot at RB but if he doesn't perform, then he'll be quickly moved. I'd imagine another RB slot opened up because Brazil(sp?) isn't going to be on this team next year.

We're looking at Magee, Fournette and ??? at RB next year. Full court press on Cook is about to happen.

U gonna make me dig it up. Or try to at least.

Why would I make something like that up? I read it somewhere.

Gonna see if google is my friend on this, but I'm not going to research it for hours.

You can get offend all you want, but that's a stupid way to feel. Louisiana 5A ball is a place for a good player to get noticed. He did. How is that offensive?

Best of luck Boo... wished you were gonna be in the P&G.

And i think it played out something like this... When Boo got his offer, everyone was under the impression that he got it over DW. As in we were only going to offer 1 of them. Boo got that offer. Put on a great performance at camp and earned the offer. Then, a few weeks ago we offer DW. And we are still interested at other RBs too. And on top of that, we have 2 of the top 5 RBs in the nation coming to LSU in the 2015 class in Brossette and Guice. Brossette is already committed, and Guice is and has been all LSU. Even twitted out the other day thinking about committing with purple and gold hearts by it. Hes all LSU. And theres still LF.

Boo saw that. Everyone thought he was going to be the other RB in this class with LF, and then we offer DW and have Brossette and Guice coming in 2015 too.

No hard feelings about it what so ever for me. Its just the nature of the recruiting world. It happens. Dont really know what to tell the people that are bitter about this. It happens at every school every year. Its the nature of the beast. Its not personal.

Boo is a hard worker and a heck of a tail back. Best of luck to him.

I was excited to see Boo at LSU and it's disappointing that he has decided to go elsewhere.

He seems like not only a great player but a hard working and humble guy based on the various interviews and articles I have seen over the past few months.

If he and his family feel like Okie State is a better place for him, then so be it. For him to want to go to a school that has expressed more interest in him and that may get him more touches makes sense. I'm not sure why this would reflect negatively on him in any way. If LSU really wanted him to stay committed this would not have happened.

Hope he has a great career. If he ever lines up against LSU he'll have to bring it.

We can still support one of our state's own, the kid made a decision that he feels best fits him so best of luck to him. If a school really wants you like Ok St wanted him, they go out of their way to make you feel more wanted then others, it happens. I also suspect that Ok St. sold him on being a better fit in their offense, and that will not be a first either.
