Does anyone believe Shep might scare Seastrunk away with the way Shep is currently used inthe LSU offense?

4 carries a game? No, I don't think so.

They are similar athletes.
I don't see Jefferson surrendering the QB position; therefore, it appears Shep might play the same Seastrunk would have planned on playing in our offense.

Shep is an athlete. Best used out of the QB position. As soon as he is a threat to throw the ball, he will be incredible. He's not a natural RB. Lache is a true RB. He can scat, but he will and can be used as an everydown back, just like Reggie Bush was at USC. He has tons of potential and will continue to develop.
I dont think Shep will scare off Lache at all.

shep is never going to play traditional QB at LSU. he'll only be a gimmick QB unless we go all option
now i think shep will move into more of a WR role in his time at LSU, so i don't see why that would scare off lache
shep >>>> lache. both are really fast, but shep is much more elusive

Reggie Bush was not an everydown back at USC, he leaned on Lendale White tremendously

To use UF players to compare..
Shep = Harvin
Lache = Rainey
imo.

Yes and Ridley too. Ridley will be our starting RB for next 2 years. Another Hester and you know how Miles liked Hester.

More of a RB than a WR

Lache also has a better RB build. Shep has to prove he won't get flipped over by a team like Vandy or Georgia bc he runs too high. 6'1" 180 lbs isn't as good a RB build as 5'11" 190 lbs.
If we don't get Reed, I want Shep as our slot WR. We are missing someone who can get quick separation. Everyone says we always have big WRs, but our offense would be better if we could mix in quicker WRs with them.

he will get killed at RB. he is two small. this kid could be a perfect slot wr. lots of screens and touches. his body cant handle 15 carries an game from RB postion. But what kills me witht this guy is typical recruiting bullshite. he turned down texas because Mack told him he couldnt play qb. Les tells him he can an boom he loves the tigers. I am not jealous at all very happy with texas recruiting .

Just my opinion, but I would think not.
Shep despite being used in running capacity to date, has yet to be positioned with a permanent or even ideal designation for his future, as he is a evolving true Frosh, that is just too talented to keep off the field, even if unrefined.
He runs too upright like an Eric Dickerson to be RB, and on a much smaller and thinner frame, one that will get broken in SEC play, if running from the LOS with heavy repitition.
He doesn't take RB running angles, thus gets squared-up and blown-up often at the end of the play.
He doesn't have SE, Flanker, nor WR savvy or skills, as he hasn't had time at those spots in his football career. But, I eventually see him as one of the three once he learns to run routes, move, and catch like a receiver.
I see him being utilized in some form of Percy Harvin type roles in his future, thus RS not really competing with LSU's need for Lache in a Reggie Bush role as a RB for toss sweeps, and a RB catching out of the backfield..
Which LSU will surely get back to once it has savvier OL and QB play in coming years, and especially when no longer having an AA-TE that has delivered for three years, only to become neglected in his final year as an outlet valve.
Lache will be the edge counterbalance to Ford and Ridley's inside hammer.
Shep and Lache, and their talents imho, are apple and orange, despite their similar speed and ability to make folks miss, and neither being inside-the-Tackles runners.

Texas was so played by CLM on this deal, Shep wanted a shot at QB, he got that and will continue to get it. Texas sucks in this repect.

Exactly how I feel. Why in the world would Shep scare off Lache..
