Shea pretty much can’t get a read on him. Doesn’t really know what to say but if he had to guess he’d guess Bama. More or less a toss up. Hopefully this kid gets some sense

We have to realize that LSU has not recruited in state or otherwise since after the Florida game when Orgeron was fired. LSU had a lame duck staff and everybody else knew it. Other schools have been recruiting these kids all along and Brian Kelly has been here only a short time. It is amazing LSU has what it has. I look for LSU to get 3 or 4 very good players tomorrow but some have just bern recruited for a year while LSU was letting Orgeron go through the motions and coach out the year. LSU will be fine but our DC hasn’t even gotten to Campus yet. Lol.

I am not seeing any of that Lewis talk on Bama boards. Usually when they are getting someone at last minute like that, they are talking about it.

your post doesn't hold water. ALA offered Lewis 10 days ago AFTER he was offered by LSU. They NEVER had any interest in recruiting Lewis until LSU offered him.
Here is the current ALA TE roster

LSU has Kole Taylor (FR) and Mason Taylor who just signed.
I'm having a hard time envisioning a kid from Westgate (New Iberia) announcing in front of a packed gym that he is signing with ALA.

Citizen and Douglas to gaytors is not a surprise. Lewis to gumps is surprising.
If we get Davis-Robinson, Matthews, and Perkins... that would be awesome!
Honestly I don't feel confident about any of these recruits. NIL and a new staff with very limited time to build a relationship changes the game for this '22 class.
