I do hope this offense is successful just to show the top offensive recruits that they can excel here and not some rival out of state school. I'm looking at you WR Devonta Lee (4)

I think it's a great sign that they are looking for a reason to still pick LSU despite all of the negatives that they are witnessing. Hopefully they find it!

If they don't ever visit the Rantard Board, which IS highly doubtful, they are NOT subjected to any negatives.

Besides the made-up crap over there, there are very few if any negatives to attending LSU and being a part of the program.

No doubt Devonta wants a first hand look at the offense. I understand his interest in the gumps but he's showing up at these practices for a reason. Lets hope he likes what he is seeing because I think LSU has his interest

Well, well, well, this was very interesting information from that article.

Two notable prospects that were not spotted at LSU on Sunday were 4-star New Orleans cornerback Devin Bush and 4-star Destrehan running back John Emery Jr.

Bush released a list of five finalists earlier in the week and sources close to the elite corner informed SEC Country that he and his family made an unofficial visit to campus on Friday. Members of the Edna Karr coaching staff were on the sidelines for the practice, taking a look at alums Andre Anthony and Racey McMath.

Emery has made unofficial visits to Oklahoma, Auburn and Michigan, with the latter two coinciding with both of LSU’s junior day functions. Sources close to the 4-star running back expect him on campus for some spring practices.

One source indicated that out-of-state schools are tabbing the Tigers as the team to beat, which makes a return visit to Baton Rouge in the near future all the more likely. Don’t expect a decision soon, but Emery is planning to trim his impressive offer list down to five ahead of his senior season.

Maybe not to you. I saw on here last week that Emery was heading out of state. He has missed both Jr day functions at LSU while visiting OOS programs. To hear that LSU is his leader with Tyrion already committed and Noah Cain out there, it is surprising to me to see that.

You clearly just moved him, he was definitely right next to Chandler fields

Not taking sides here, but what the poster has in his post was copied and pasted from an article that has been online since yesterday. I'm pretty sure he didn't type all that anyway. The article has not been updated since it was published. There is a link in their post that contains the list.

I do believe it's possible we can land all 3, however I dont think we do. Davis stays and we get one of Cain and Emery. The odds of the trifecta are getting better right now.
Am surprised by these Emery notes. Just following the events you wouldn't figure he felt that strongly. Long way to go.

On this list I truly feel at this juncture we are in strong shape to land the gauntlet.
Stingley
Thomas
Sopsher
Davis
Starks
Harris
Palmer
Lee
Emery
Bush
Those 10 are the core of our class if we can pull them all. Talk or no talk, there's not a kid there that we aren't the major player with. Some are really close, some we may not lead for but none of them would I definitively say would sign elsewhere today.
The bigger question is how deep do we go instate. The 10 above, plus Perry and Evans is 12. What about Kimbrough,Torbor, Tounge and all the other dB's. How deep do we go?

It's a great problem to have and one that I'm sure is welcomed. We are also recruiting MS and TX very hard. If I'm LSU I would keep the pressure on and ask for early commits from all of the top of our board because as of now our 2nd choices look as good or better than the top of the list as far as talent and possibly chances to sign as well.

2019 should be a great year no matter who signs within the State. LSU needs to be aggressive but also be selective, because we can be in 2019. We could literally fill up our roster with 1st round talent and those guys be part of our depth at the same time, which is what we've been waiting for.

That's why it's important to fill your needs because the guys who actually develop can stay and the new guys can fill depth or fill needs depending on how ready they are. LSU needs to look for maturity on and off the field combined with natural talent from here on.

If this staff can find a couple of grad transfers, and JUCO corners worth a darn coupled with a few freshman then the CB issue would be fixed in 2019 going forward. They just need to take a good hard look and spare no expense bc the opportunity is here and what better place to make your last stand at a childhood dream then at LSU? I hope we can make up for what was lost, with a little effort and hard work, it can be done IMO.
