Alcender Jackson, Kareem Mitchell and Benaderyl Franklin besides Barnes went to Moss Point although Franklin got booted I think.

He may not have lived up to his hype but he was a multi year starter/ contributor at a critical time for the tigers. Just as we entered the Saban era.

My dad was an ole miss bagman for Moss point. LSU is 2 hours away max ole miss is 6 to 7

1994 Benaderyl Franklin LB
1996 Alcender Jackson OG
1996 Kareem Mitchell DE
1997 Muskingum Barnes DT
And then it dried up…
ETA: Jerry Baldwin coached all of the positions except OL. Maybe he was the connection.

One of my best friends back in the day played at Miss Point, he started on the NLU(ULM) National Championship Team DII, he was a TE/FB 6’3”245. Good times
