Add 4 star DB Marquis Groves-Killebrew to that list from last year’s class.

You will see one of their 5 star D lineman enter the portal and go to Georgia once the playoffs is over. The speculation is that he is very home sick.

Most of the guys transferring out from A&M right now are leaving because they got passed by the 2022 class recruits.

I bet not all of them were passed over by 2022 freshmen purely from a talent standpoint. Promises of immediate playing time were made in addition to all that NIL money for a bunch of those guys.

Plus, I can’t imagine all the drama behind the scenes as their disastrous season unfolded concerning NIL collectives, boosters, and Jimbo.

“Hey Jimbo, you told me those two guys were great and you could win a championship if you got them. You got me to pony up more damn money than my house is worth, and they’re riding the bench.”

“Meanwhile, Carl in the suite next to me put together a different collective. They spent half as much on their guys, and both are starting. shite Jimbo. I just watched us lose to Appalachian State with my guys sitting on the bench. I better see a return on my investment next week.”

I figured one would go, but I thought it would be Anthony Lucas who had a few issues. Maybe he's just waiting for the right time.

Having to bring in 40 players, kind of sounds like LSU when Kelly got here.

Yep but:

(1) Brian Kelly inherited the situation at LSU.

(2) Jimbo created the toxic situation at A&M

(3) Jimbo is no Brian Kelly.

They've only signed 18, so they're down 10 plus early draft entrees and those out of eligibility.

Last I checked there were CB's, LB's, EDGE, WR's, and a RB that could actually be of use to other SEC teams.
Might be a bunch of kids that don't deserve to be stained by the clouds around the Program.

Isn’t it logical that A&M should have the most in the portal? After all, they signed an historically good class last year, and to a team that didn’t have a lot of top talent. It stands to reason that a lot of 2nd and 3rd year players, who thought it was their turn, are being passed up and will want to transfer.

I respect that thought process and think it has validity here. The problem is you can’t be champions like this. The SEC grind is taxing. You have to have rotational players.

I’d say it would be fine but they signed a relatively small class as compared to the major players LSU, UGA, Bama, OSU.

Aggies have great first line talent. But any drop off for minor or major injury will stick out quickly.

Additionally, the Aggies need leaders and a sense of continuity. They won’t get it with this style of recruiting.

Except that 7 of the players in the portal for them are from that historically good class

They will have plenty transfer after the Championship. Players are locked in right now, but some who want to ply or get closer to home will move on…some will also be processed.
