Is the "hot hand" really that big of a deal though? Keiland takes a screen pass to the house against Auburn, but do you really think a play like that is going to work continuously in the second half against that type of defense? I think you guys take too much from one or two big plays that Keiland/Scott made.

Just bc they make one big play doesn't mean they are the better back for the rest of the game. That's just my take on it.

i never pinned it all on that. you are the one pinning none of it on that. Sure, running backs dont matter at all if Pelini sucks or you show up unmotivated as #1. Gotcha.

I'm still missing how other things going wrong with his team completely absolve Miles/Porter from shitty usage of the RBs.

I suggested the whole time that there were several areas where we fell short which allowed the Music City Bowl winners to beat the #1 team i the country

Do I think Miles always makes the best decisions? ...hell no I don't..and I think you know I don't.

My point was in that game we had so many things going wrong that it is impossible to put your finger on just one or two things...I was there and it was frustrating to watch from many perspectives (except the UK cocksuckers I was sitting by)

Is anyone even saying they need to get every carry for the rest of the game because of 1 big play? But to give them zero or 1 touch for the rest of the game after a big play can't make any sense to even the biggest Miles homer.

Mr. Handsight

I love it

Yall only know what you read on here or tigerbait. You're not on the field with the team during the games, in the weight room, or at practice. The coaches play who they feel will give the team the best chance to win. Yes, I think that was a bad decision, but I'm not in their meeting room at halftime with them. He had to have some reason for it. Miles, and his staff, are winners. I say lets move on.

So let me just make sure we are all clear. Are you really asking if the consensus #1 RB prospect in the country would be better suited playing another position?

with such well thought out responses to reasonable questions, your TD legacy is safe. I can assure you I am not gunning for it.

scott averaged like 10 yards per carry after the first half. hester was at like 3. it's not hindsight. it's just basic rationality

our DBs couldn't cover shite. we should have had more creative blitzes (which bo p wasn't a fan of anywa), but our DBs were toast that game

even with our defensive problems and flynn's problems, we had running game problems that could have been fixed with a simple move

so you're just 110% certain Scott getting more carries guarantees victory? ..lawlz

It's funny how UK got by just fine with their walk-on 3rd-string RB who ripped us in the second half

like you just said, there were tons of problem areas for us that game. we did not deserve to win and we didn't. period.

why is that funny? he bitch-slapped them in the first half and hester did shite in the 2nd

the game went to OT, so all we needed was a LITTLE more

your logic is golden

dude, he could have fumbled twice, broken his leg, etc. etc.... not to mention UK was loading up to stop the run in the 2nd half and playing like a team that could smell blood in the water. You have no clue what would have occurred

I'll say it again: When you are #1 and cannot beat a team like UK by 2-4 TDs then more than just putting in Charles Scott was going wrong ...Again, they didn't have a problem with their 3rd string RB against us ...so we came in with a huge RB edge, as well as in many elemnets of the game where we were supposed to be superior, and they just beat us. period.
