i understand what les is saying
i hope that our recruitment of lache and trovon show a shift in philosophy more than anything
a philosophy that rewards playmakers and emphasizes speed, not power

just saying
I always chuckle when people say this because it's kind of like an implicit admission for something stupid that they have just posted.

from his best interest im sure he is worried about both when making a college choice, wouldnt you say?
I think it's a huge stretch to think that he's a better prospect as a WR. I don't think making a semi-valid point about his size proves that he would automatically be a better prospect as a WR. That's a huge leap.
Personally, I think there is a definite spot in the NFL for 200 to 210 pound RBs with great quickness and RB skills. Whether or not he turns out to be that kind of RB is yet to be seen. But, it's not like his size is going to eliminate him from playing the position. You are wrong on that.

in all of his video he really never has to used lateral quickness because he blows by everyone and beats everyone to the spot 95% of the time
^this
The question is how many times did you see a defender set in front of him where he needed to use his lateral quickness and subsequently; due to your perceived lack of it, be tackled?

his lateral quickness is probably the best in the country and his COD is incredible LINK
he has to stop-start when changing direction
he doesn't have plant and turn ability
i'm not caling him keiland or trindon, but he's not a joe mcknight or bush like many recruiting fans like to make him

LT was 5-11, 220 going into the NFL
And he weighed 195 heading into college.

Because of Tomlinson's small size (195 pounds) and lack of experience, few college football recruiters showed interest in him.

in terms of football players (and not track guys playing HS football) he's up there
a lot of times in HS it's hard to make that distinction. Reggie Bush for example was a better track athlete in high school than football player, but I think as a college athlete pretty much everyone considered him the latter even coming out of high school.
most high school football players that are really fast are also running track and probably at a pretty high level

body type and size/speed says more WR than RB, just saying
Isn't he like 5'10, 190?
So, after Moffitt gets him he should be 6'4, 260. Sounds like a pass rush DE.
Seriously though, seems like once he hits the weights hard he'll be around 205 on a 5'9 or 5'10 frame. Sounds like a RB to me.

no way that's accurate
195 lbs is big for a speed back TODAY in CFB for recruits

yeah that slogging 10.4 100 meters
Posted on 8/4/09 at 6:03 pm to usc6158
google has shitty results for "Reggie bush beat by a white guy" fwiw

i hope he doesn't get much bigger than this...while at LSU at least

Are you saying he wasn't 195, or saying that's not why he was as heavily recruited. I linked it to show his weight...not to describe why the big schools stayed away.
Posted on 8/4/09 at 6:07 pm to moneyg
i'm saying he wasn't 195, or that if he was 195 that was not the reason he wasn't recruited
Posted on 8/4/09 at 6:08 pm to SlowFlowPro
whoever he chooses, he'll also be an assett as a KR/PR
and after watching the rivals vid, IMO it's
LSU
USC
Baylor
in that order

I think the latter is obvious.
The point is that it's not a terrible comparison from a size standpoint to Seastrunk right now.

What white guy beat Reggie, Slow?
I follow t&f and I can't remember a white guy that ran faster than Reggie in high school.

Can you just wait for this season to play out with a much better QB before you keep going off on this every day?
And does this all come about bc you think Keiland is a stud who has been misused? No offense, but Charles Scott is simply better than him.
My lord, give it up for now and see what type of offense we put on the field this year.
