I agree. I can understand Alabama- taking off my purple-and-gold glasses they are in the championship every year and regardless of DC it is Saban's system so regardless of coaching changes you're still in Saban's proven system.
So that is the only rational reason to go to Alabama over LSU and Aranda. Aranda may not be here for your entire time in college but whatever time you spend under his tutelage will make you a much better LB than anywhere else in the SEC, much less country.
I'm all behind Coach O but this is the weakness of the CEO coaching style.

I agree. Most of us (fans) don't understand why aren't LBs lining up to play for LSU. He seems to notice we have a need & Aranda can develop him.
He also mentioned "The swagger... I just love the way they play football"
I bet he watched the bowl game. Many of us wondered if that performance could possibly sway some of the undecideds on defense. Outstanding if we can get a big time LB or two out of it

Add to that the fact that Aranda may be the hottest coach in all of college right now, much less amongst DC's and LB coaches, so I don't think it's very likely that a recruit would use Aranda's name in a troll.
Gay could certainly change his mind by NSD, but I doubt that he's being dishonest in his comments.
