No one can be 19 before September 1st, so what do you mean overage?

Given the context, I think he is asking if this guy is age appropriate for his class:

quote:
#26 WR is in the 10th. grade and is 6'4" 210#'s and should be a good one by his Sr. year.

If he were say 18 now, he would be overage.

Maybe they should put the Birth-dates in the programs.

I played in the first Superdome Classic. That year, each team had the player's age in the program...... except Curtis.

Curtis now asks kids to repeat the 5th grade. It used to be the 7th grade so they would have more time for evaluation, but apparently the LHSAA put the ixnay on that a few years ago.

Yeah, we watched players that get paid a ton of money lose a game because they were unable to make free throws. It was a good experience for the boys sitting 10 rows behind the bench, and our comp tickets were in Row 22 in the Club Level. One things for sure, I wasn't going to get a buzz with $9 beers.

Our good friend was there-her son plays for PBS, so she was pretty excited when we talked to her on the way home. Did y'all make it to Harbor Seafood? We ate there a few weeks ago right before our beatdown by JC.

Don't know if I told you, but #1 son made 2nd team All-District. Pretty good for his first year at OT, and the 2 1st team kids both have D1 scholarships (one to LSU) and outweigh him by about 60 pounds. Sets him up well for 1st team next year if he keeps working hard.

Nope, we parked at the dome and walked to Reginelli's.

Congrats to him. We need to talk one day about him. If he wants to play college ball. I know a way to get him in.

IMO they shouldve used the run to open up the passing game. I can count on 1 hand the number of times they used play action. Questionable game plan

Patterson def didn't get KH enough carries but, hats off to the PBS defense. They've had almost 10 INT's the last 2 games, and that D is legitimately one of the best in the state. I k wanted to see KH, but I knew he wasn't gonna have much room to run.

I've seen him play a dozen times last few years. He could be a stud LB'r for the tigers(great insticts). I hope if Hill and the rest come to town Kenny will see the light. He just does'nt have that burst you need to play RB in the SEC.

Jesus you people are thick. First you claim that Parkview will blow out Patterson because the D is so good and then when Patterson has a GAMEPLAN that evidently worked seeing as they went up and down the field on that defense, you criticize it.

Yes the QB made mistakes and forced the ball which led to turnovers, but you know what? Even with 4 picks and the 4-5 missed PI calls on parkview which were occurring all night, Patterson still gave them everything they wanted.

When Kenny did touch the ball, he rarely got any yardage because Parkview was keying on him all night. He had about 2-3 plays of 10+ yards I'd say. So Patterson coaches knew this would happen going in and used a passing game which Parkview didn't expect, and guess what it worked. It was a brilliant move, just a matter of making 1 too many mistakes. One less pick and Patterson wins that game as I said going in they'd need 2 or less (I won't include that pick at the very end because it's irrelevant).

As a former player, I can assure you that everyone in the community loves and fully supports the coach. He made a gameplan against a D that wasn't allowing anything and it worked great aside from a couple mistakes. I do not fault him or the players for that.

Patterson played a great game with all their heart and I think is evenly matched with Parkview regardless of what any of you will say. I have been saying all week the game would go down to the end and I was right. Great season Patterson; I was proud of our kids, our coaches, and damn proud to be a Lumberjack last night.

I was there as well and I've got a questiin. How in the hell (at that level of comp) can you not have a field goal kicker that can make one inside the 20? Patterson was there at least twice and didn't try one. Those 6 points would have been the difference.go grab someone off the soccer team if you have to. If its the snapper? Then you've had since august to work on that!

Patterson has no soccer team and has historically had poor kickers who have trouble even with extra points during the games. In watching high school football for many years, I can safely say most schools I've seen don't even try for field goals. The only ones I've seen go for them regularly are your state powers in Evangel, Curtis, WM, Parkview, and teams like that, and then some of the bigger schools.

That being said, the kicker at Patterson now is one of the better ones that I have seen there. He's consistent and only missed maybe a couple extra points all year which is huge for them. We don't go for fg's, we go for td's. Just the way the Jacks play and sometimes it hurts us, sometimes it helps. I don't fault them at all because it's been that way as long as I can remember.

Kicking game was huge in WM/Acadiana game tonight. WM ran back a kickoff for a TD, tried a fake FG from the 10 when the kicker was making 45 yarders in warmup, while Acadiana made 2 field goals that really changed the flow of the game.

Starchild great entry, forgot one thing, penalties killed us also, we did have a TD called back for holding plus other drives we got past the 50 were sidetracked by penalties. The 2 things that will kill a team is turnovers and penalties and we had both tonight, I have told peoplle all along the team that can beat Patterson is Patterson and that happened tonight.
Congrats to Parkview Baptist, good game, maybe next year for the Jacks!!

So Patterson was shut out in the 2nd half and only got 64 yards in the 2nd half because of Patterson?

Kenny could have gotten the ball 50 times Fri night, but that wouldn't have made a difference. They were NOT going to run on PBS. The only way to beat PBS was through the air.

I've gotten used to that and agree. Just like LSU and the Saints, Patterson seems to get the short end of the stick as far as penalties go more often than not. I guarantee that Parkview could have been called for PI all night and were lucky to get just two.

Fact of the matter is, most people on TD were wrong. Patterson played with Parkview and it was our game to win, unfortunately we could not. It wasn't like the QB was under pressure and threw it up for grabs all night. 2 of the picks were just bad throws where he had a guy open and time to get it to him.

I'll give Parkview their due because they are a great team. But I am tired of seeing people hate on Patterson. They showed they belonged and are one of the best teams in this state against one of the darlings.

I wouldn't be surprised if Terrance Magee turns out to be the best RB in this class

also wouldn't be surprised if Hilliard is moved to LB from talking with a few people around Patterson

I was at the dome, and Parkview and Patterson was really a great game. PBS defense really made great adjustments to shut out PH in the second half. Congrats to PBS for winning state. Also congrats to PH for playing a great game.
