Sonny said this was the first time he got a shuttle time.........so it may be one of those unexposed guys that, once he goes to camps, gets more offers and gets rated higher.

He sounds like one hell of an athlete wherever he plays.

I think he could be a solid QB down the road (especially since we don't need him to be the man for a couple of years) and I think he could be a solid DB the likes that Cooper has coached up to be NFL prospects.

Random thought..........he reminds me a little bit of the Vandy QB. What was his name? Nix or something of that nature? Elusive guy from the state of Bama that wasn't flashy but played smart. Anyone else have that same thought?

Congrats on the pickup. I hate to see LSU getting their foot in the door with that program though.

great size, length, and athleticism and appears to be a smart kid. He's got the size of a D-1 player now

After watching his film, I can say he is definately athletic. I doubt he's a QB at the next level unless he gets alot of work in and the coaches feel that he is coachable. Then again its possible he's improved a great deal since some of his film. His film shows a very high ceiling for potential. He could be a diamond in the rough. He does have really good arm strength and has great pocket presence. As a WR, he would slip into the slot. He has really good vision, makes people miss alot. Not sure about his overall speed, but on film he looks pretty fast. Im wondering what his camp times were and if they opened the coaches eyes a little. Not sure how he would project to Safety or CB. Didnt see any film. But he is an athlete and could project there depending on his coachability.

Bottom line: The coaches are well aware of the limited # of schollies. The kid went to camp, performed, was evaluated, and got an offer. He must have done something to impress them. We will just have to trust the coaches on this one. Welcome aboard Sam Gibson.

He was 8 of 9 for 92 yards in the Championship game last year against HOOVER but he made several unbelieveable runs to help Prattville. That game was all about defense though. The kid took some hard arse hits and would just keep bouncing right up. Tough kid.

Yea, from the film I saw he is definitely a physical type of player. Not afraid of contact.

You guys are saying because ya'll don't know about him,he can't be good. If Rivals, didn't rank them for you,ya'll wouldn't know anything. Coaches get paid to evaluate talent.I will root for the Tigers and this kid.

I just hate that question. How would anyone know what the coaches told him? No one knows the answer to that question except the kid, the coaches, and whoever the kid decides to tell.

I was thinking possibly FB as a possibility for him, but then again we have Dominique Allen and Brandon Worle committed.
