I don’t know how strict LSU is with pot. A few years ago I thought I read that LSU’s own testing was more stringent than what the ncaa required.

I do know Miles gave players chances. But I also know Saban doesn’t even punish good players for felony gun arrests.

How is O the problem? He inherits a wrecked ship that had 4 and 5 star players jumping at every turn. I mean, Miles hired Studdrawa to be OC and I'd take Ensminger over Studdrawa any day. If he'd of hired a competent OC and let him do his job LSU wouldn't have lost the 2011 NC. I just don't get why after one season O is getting ALL the blame for the crap that's been going on for the last 7 years.

I don't blame the recruits, they are going to play the game.
I blame the staff for not having plan B or knowing when to cut bait and go find someone else.

So, the coaches should have known that Surtain was going to sign with Bama even though he kept telling them that he was signing with LSU all the way up to NSD? I'm just as disappointed about this as anyone, but some of you seem to expect LSU coaches to be telepathic or something.

Thank you! You just answered to what my post was about. Key words, Miles booted him! Name the last player that Saban booted due to weed?

Surtain signing with Bama is the worst thing that could have happened for Saivion. He’s calling him little brother, but he’ll be calling him daddy soon when Surtain starts over him.

Sure use Mathieu as an example. For a number of years it appears Bama players are caught with weed or some other issue and there isn't any issue with staying in the program or starting.

The point of replacing Miles was the hope of correcting the problems that have been going on for 7 years. Instead LSU hired Miles' defensive line coach that had the worst record in SEC west history at his previous stop. People were willing to give him a chance if he hired competent coordinators to game plan. He failed in his first season at doing that. He fired the coordinator he hired and almost lost the D coordinator if not for making him the highest paid DC in the country. He rehired the tight ends coach as OC that he previously demoted. His results on the field have been poor and next season he has a tougher schedule. Meanwhile, the level of recruiting has fallen which was practically the only thing anyone had confidence that Coach O could do when hired. Coach O may not be the chief problem (FKA and Alleva) but he is the only person that we can judge on the performance of the football program. In his 1 and 2/3 seasons in control, the program has been a clusterfrick.

If you are an 17-18 year old highly coveted recruit. You have an opportunity to get NFL coaching and legitimately compete for championships every year.....vice going to a team that just lost to Notre Dame, offensive coordinator shite canned and constant bickering among the fan base to fire the coach......which way would you go.

No player should ever be booted for smoking weed..It's fricking 2018 you draconian morons.

Good luck recruiting only choir boys who don't drink or smoke. If what any of you are saying has any truth to it, that Nick doesn't care if his players smoke, it's just another reason why he's ahead of the game.
