Strength behind a returning, experienced OL or will it be an Achilles Heel because of RB inexperience.

Which do you guys feel mostly happens next year?

I’m not worried about running the ball, if clapp returns I believe we will be better up front next year. CEH, Brossette , Curry , Pooka, and Provens will be great.

figures the first year we will be healthy and a good depth at OT we don't have a blue chip RB coming back.

CEH is a lot more talented than some people think.

He may not be fournette/guice , but he’s still a luxury to have. People will be surprised at his hands as well.

A good RB can make an avg OL look great.
A good RB can make a bad OL look very avg.

A bad OL can make any RB look bad.

It will be a strength IF the OL is sorted in practice and not during first 2-4 games. Big plays will be down. Yeah, we're likely to have some new faces on the OL starting; but they won't be freshmen.

However, with Canada's run game, when you factor in the jet and soon to be propeller sweeps, we may have an above avg "big play" capability on the ground anyway.

I suppose the "propeller sweep" needs some defining. Friend of mine has been saying that all season.

Jet Sweep = run sweep with WR
Propeller Sweep = run sweep with TE/F-Back/RB

With more 2-back sets I expect to see more of them in the future.

I agree he will be great but we just haven't seen him or he hasn't made an impact yet like we normally have with RB coming back.

Yes, this lil guy here will surprise a lot of people that don't think LSU will be as strong in the run game next season. I say lil guy, but really he is no lil guy at 5'8 210 pounds, he's just short. This kid will break off a lot of runs next season with not only his elusiveness, but his physical running too, he's hard as hell to tackle. LSU has never had a down season in the running game and that trend will continue I think.

While this statement is true, never underestimate the ability of a running back behind a good to better than good OLine (does the name Kamara ring a bell?)

^ yea Kamara is not your average back. lol. Though the Saints OL is way better than years past.

Don't sleep on young Chris Curry out of Fl. who's coming here next year. Not a burner, but a really good runner, even with a HS OL that leaves something to be desired. It think he'll be a nice compliment to CEH.

We will have a shite ton of guys who make people miss, which is perfect for this offense. Idk why people are freaking out because this offense isn't made for down hill runners like William's, Guice and LF. It's perfect for guys who are quick, make you miss and aren't brought down easily, which is exactly what we have.

Like someone said as long as our OL, QB, and WR positions develop in this offseason, there is nothing to worry about. LSU needed those big backs bc that's what our offense was built around. We wanted that to change didn't we? Now with that being said of course you also take the best backs you can get but these happen to be the best we can get, and they aren't bad options. You can adjust your offense to your personell and LSU might have a more multiple offense with these type of backs.

We will also have the pounding backs like Curry and CEH. I also like Lanerd Fournette and Brossette a lot. We might also land Joiner, so things aren't over on that front.

While I agree with you I can't help but think about our longest runs by a RB were with Williams.

Seems we're both missing something.

Hard to tell what that is because we won't have a basis of comparison until after next year. I might be wrong (from above post) and we have a shite ton of longer runs next year, which means you are correct with your statement.

So no Joiner?

He is the best of the bunch IMO

Look at how he was used in those runs though, the wildcat which is basically the toss dive with an extra blocker.

Made for down hill power runners. If LSU would have ran this earlier in the year and more often with our backs, I think we could have been very successful. Not saying it should have been our base offense but we should have used it more IMO.

He is also 5' 10" and 215#'s. CEH's measurements are almost identical to his so one can hope!

You would think with LSU having 2 rb's going first round 2 years in a row, that 5 star RB's would be lining up to play here

They are especially next season after 2018 in 2019, LSU has always gotten top RB's, I think some of y'all are overreacting, but LSU isn't the only top RB school in the country, man. I mean they are a lot of kids out there that favor a Georgia, Bama, USC or whomever, shite, Chubb and Michel at UGA could both be drafted in the first round too, it wouldn't surprise me. Those schools have a great tradition at RB also, but I think LSU is fine at RB and people are jumping the gun as always around here.
