Apparently they are worried about his eligibility due to poor grades. Looks like LSU dodge a bullet.

At this point if he signed with LSU I’d be happy but if he didn’t I think I’d be happier at the opportunity for someone else to earn that scholarship

Maybe from me... I was reading the Deon Sanders thread and there was a lot of confusion as to what ZE was doing. Based on what I was reading (ACTproblems) I suggested whoever he signed with may not have accepted it and shortly after that there was 10 people agreeing with it. That scenario does fit the actions we have witnessed.

Character, disciplinary, grades, etc. You could tell something was awry all along. He's really talented but holy moly.

We never really needed a splash RB in this class. No freshman RB would have the grasp of the offense like the guys returning. And, you may see 1 of the returnees here for another 2 years. We need a high ceiling, high character guy that really wants to work even if it's a guy that isn't highly sought after.

That explains his latest delay in announcing his choice.

I would be disapointed if he signed with Lsu. I really would, LSU can do better than Evans. Gibbs is by far a better running back to play on the field. Evans won't get on the field due to fights, issues with staff or fights or poor grades. Kid got too many issues. Lsu did their homework, they started staying away from this kid weeks ago so no need to worry bout him going to Lsu and screwing up there

Evans may be a headcase, but after watching him during the UA game, I must admit that the kid can ball.

I said it all along. He would end up at LSU. Not because I want him too but now that his LOI is no good at UGA someone will take the risk that he will be eligable by June. UGA wouldnt take that risk given their class. Since we had a drop in numbers its 50/50 that LSU would take him. They took risks on Mo Hampton (MLB draft), ray parker (grades), and donte starks (grades) last year. With 6 spots they may do it again. Texas AM will definitely take that risk. If LSU cant make headway with Gibbs, and I feel the clayton ship has sailed, I could see Evan's being in the class. Like it or not.
