Saw some comments about the possibility of Dare moving to the offensive line, and I had to look up Hill since I remember him being a tall kid as well on the defensive side. Was only 295 though, so maybe that's the difference.

One of my favorite players on the '03 defense. Rest in peace, brother

1) RIP Marquise. Great player.

2) Man, I miss mesh jerseys. When will those come back in style?

Hopefully never. No offense, but they look terrible compared to the current jerseys.

I’ve heard talk on here that he’d be a 5* recruit if he were being rated as an OT. Why is he not?

Hill wore out Jason White in the '03 NC game:
quote:

SUGAR BOWL NOTES LSU Makes White Pay a Big Price January 05, 2004|Mike DiGiovanna | Times Staff Writer Email Share NEW ORLEANS — Oklahoma quarterback Jason White may not have known what was about to hit him Sunday night, but Louisiana State defensive end Marquise Hill gave him a pretty good idea early on in the Sugar Bowl. "He's Mr. Heisman and we wanted to go at him all night," said Hill, who had one of the Tigers' five sacks and helped harass White into a miserable 13-for-37 passing performance for 102 yards and two interceptions. "That's a big award if you win it, and you're going to pay for it. "I said to him, 'Excuse me, Mr. Heisman. I'm going to be coming at you all night.' He just nodded his head at me. I think our conference is the hardest, and Jason White wasn't anything we hadn't seen before."

One of the biggest tragedies in a long list of tragedies to befall LSU athletics.

RIP Mr. Hill.

catching downvotes for speaking the truth.

kid is a 3 star as a DT, and a high 4 potentially 5 star as an OT. someone will talk some sense into him once hes on campus.

He's bigger than 330 and will probably weigh 350 at least. Future offensive tackle.

I don't mind the downvotes because everyone who professionally evaluated this kid said the samething he's an okay defensive player but has all the tools to be a first rounder at OT and it is a position of need for us

Hopefully this has been communicated to him and he knows what he's coming into.

Saw he and Whitworth go against each other in high school.

It was intense and as competitive as any two mammoths you could see.

RIP and what a great player.

That's simply not true. I've seen him play a lot. The consensus is that he doesn't have the footwork for OL. Lsu saw the same thing. But hey, you rant guys have it all figured out

He doesn't look like an OT in his film, he looks great on the defensive side of the ball. If this kid was at a 5A school he would be a 5 star, top 10 recruit in the country. He has agility and speed for a guy his size. They may swap him over but he would be a beast on the DL.
