Robert Dillingham - Tigers Hosting Another 5-Star Recruit

PG Robert Dillingham is scheduled to visit LSU this coming weekend. The 2023 5-Star guard is currently ranked #8 in his class by ESPN.
He is surrounded by some controversy at the moment. He recently (and abruptly) left highly thought-of (and highly ranked) Combine Academy in North Carolina to attend the newly formed (and not yet opened) Donda Academy (founded by Kanye West).
Regardless of what's happening off the court, he is seriously skilled and one of the most talented players in the country.

Was thought to be a heavy UNC lean, but the move to California certainly changes things. Don’t let the gangster get his claws on you.

Who knows how accurate such things are, but his timeline shows he received an LSU offer yesterday and will be visiting today....the only visit listed of any of the schools who have currently offered.
Yes, we ALL know about the "strong arse offer". But I PROMISE you LSU is not the only team with strong arse offers. The strongest arse offers are coming from places like UNC, Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, etc where basketball is EVERYTHING. So Wade's success on the recruiting trail goes FAR beyond just making "strong offers".
I've posted this video before, but this is from the recruitment of former Georgia (now Kentucky) PG Sahvir Wheeler. While he ultimately went to Kentucky, the video of he and his dad talking about Wade is very insightful. Wade doesn't just tell you LSU is a great place to attend. He goes into intricate detail as to how a player will be used and exactly how he is going to make him better.

Timing could also be because of whoever his handler is.
There was a post on a UNC fan board that Dillingham’s father posted on his Facebook recently that he hasn’t seen or spoken to Robert in like 3 weeks and that no one will tell him where he is. Claims that Robert is being misled by another guy, which is the person that has taken him to Cali to live and enroll in the new school. Makes it sound very much like a handler situation and is very very bizarre.

UNC just got a commit from a 5 star guard in his class last night. May not mean anything for Dillingham. Their people seemed a little surprised.
