What is the reasoning behind wanting to go with Option 2? Why would we want to leave valuable players on the board?

You got me. But some people are bitching about it ruining all the work they put in or something.
WOW!!!! Very lame Dan.

I still need a Strongside DE! I was hoping to nab somebody in the supplemental rounds.
The exact reason why the supplemental draft ruins the actual draft.

I guess I just don't see how it "ruins" anyone's work. Everyone has put time into this and had to investigate. There's no way you could be drafting people right now if you aren't browsing through commitment lists etc.
I guess I just took your comments to say, "I've done all this hard work and no one else has." But maybe I read it wrong.

With the 480th pick in the Tiger Droppings Recruiting Board Mock Draft, OBUDan selects:
Preston Brown, LB
Brown is a big kid at 6'3, 220 lbs. He needs to add some more muscle, but he's a big, rangy kid. The primary reason I like him is because he'll be playing for Charlie Strong, who is a terrific linebackers coach. He shows good skills in coverage, especially for his size. Bit of an arm tackler, which he will need to correct. Runs well. Plays with good energy and tenacity. With Brown and Jackson I have two big rangy athletes in the middle to roam from sideline to sideline.

Hey Dan, could you check out tigerphanatic's roster. Something is not adding up. Unless the chart is wrong.

With this pick I'm looking for big fish in small ponds, which is a bit ironic considering my pics height and weight.
Suntiger selects Jamaal Bass OLB out of Northern Illinois.
Bass is 5'11" and around 190 lbs which doesn't help his ranking, but he he's out of Florida where they play good football and held an offer from Ole Miss. He's very quick and reminds me of Daryl Washington out of TCU (shorter of course). Small, but quick. Has some room and time to grow, bit then again, he's a similar size to Sam Mills and FSU LBer Buster Davis.

Edited to Johnathan Ragoo OG from Minnesota. Thanks OBUDAN
Ragoo is described as being "as big as the bus he came in on". 6'7 360. He simply destroys people and is pretty agile for a guy his size.
Did y'all know Herman Johnson was the biggest baby ever born in Louisiana?
