Dakota Royer, OLB

Look at the guns on that kid. I want Team OBUDan tested for 'roids!

ETA:

My team is very boom or bust right now. Loaded with athletes that have potential to be great and play various positions, with only a few at a true position. These are usually the kids I don't like LSU taking because they aren't a football player, but an athlete. I think my safest pick so far is Quinton Spain or A. Dorsey. My team has a lot of quickness and speed though. Especially on defense.

QB
RB – Lache Seastrunk (Oregon)
FB
WR – Trovon Reed (Auburn)
WR – De’on Long (West Virginia)
TE
OT – Jawuan James (Tennessee)
OG – Quinton Spain (West Virginia)
C
OG
OT

DT
DT – Ashton Dorsey (Texas)
DE
DE/LB – Christian Jones (Florida State)
LB – Josh Shirley (UCLA)
LB
LB
CB
CB
FS
SS – Josh Furman (Michigan)

I told my team they are required to do mandatory HGH and steroid injections. Its working so far.

I wouldn't say your team is too boom/bust heavy.

I think all of your defensive guys will be hits. Furman is the biggest question mark since he's mostly a freak athlete, but you have to love that potential.

I love both your o-line picks.

Deon Long is a question mark but not because of his ability, moreso his character.

Lache should be good (even if he's not as good as advertised) and Reed will be good as well.

I really liked Irvin in a 4-3, but think he is way too small and not agile enough for the 3-4. JMO.

Dan do you still have contact info for fightingsaint? I see that he has made posts on the Rant. You may want to drop him a reminder that he still has picks to make.

Yeah, I shot him an email a while ago. I'll try again, but if he doesn't respond, then I'll just end it for him.

So true. I've noticed a pattern. Usually guys that are slow on one pick... slower on the next are prime to disappear. Most of what's left have been here pretty timely to make their picks. So I hope it stays around 20.

I've decided I'm going to take all the drafted players from incomplete teams and do a re-draft at the end.

I'm not sure if it would be more fair to make a team that redrafts a player have to substitute a player of the same position or the player they drafted the same round as the player they were taking was taken. That sounds confusing, but I hope it makes sense.

I'll hold off on drafting another DL and strongside DE then.

Yeah, everyone still has to complete their own roster, otherwise I'd just turn them loose now.

IF everyone thinks its a bad idea, I won't do it. But it could be interesting to see what swaps people make. And what players get turned back into the pool if you do pick up someone new.

I like where my team is now. I think I have a ton of play makers. My lines are still yet to fill out, but I got my left tackle pick, so until I find a steal, I'm not going to force myself to pick a position. I think there are a lot of good value picks left on the lines. I'm thinking about running a 3-3-5 defense because of this, but I would prefer to run a 4-3 or a 3-4. I'm reserving my offensive formation until a little later, but I've been considering a dual RB shotgun formation.

QB - Blake Bell
RB - Mike Dyer
RB
OT - Andrew Donnal
OT - Jimmy Gjere
OG
OG
TE - C.J. Fiedorwicz
WR - Tai'ler Jones
WR

DT - Denzel McCoy
DT
DE
DE
LB - Tevin Jackson
LB - A.J. Derby
LB
CB - John Fulton
CB
S - Marquis Flowers

I dont understand why anything has to be done with the players on the rosters of guys who dropped out. If people are cherry picking their drafts because they see who is going to be available then the spirit of our draft is ruined. Just throw them of the draft entirely. Who cares if 15-20 players are not eligible?

Well, I wasn't going to change my draft strategy just because I see Enfuego has Marcus Lattimore or anything like that.

I just thought I'd see what everyone thought of throwing all those players back in the pool, since some of them are elite guys who we'll want to follow.

But I'll count yours as the first negative vote against it.

Sorry if this is irrelevant, unwanted, already considered, or just plain annoying, but I have a suggestion. You guys should keep your rosters for four years and award the "championship" based on the points given for awards and titles - All American, leading in tackles, high rankings, etc. It would be fun, but it would be hard to wait four years - unless you keep a running roster each year. Anyway.
