Just hand me the trophy boys.

My offensive players compliment one another perfectly. Cam is the perfect dual threat qb. Mack Brown can go inside/outside and has the speed to take it all the way. Bryant is the complete receiver. He combines the speed to stretch the field with the courage to make the tough catch over the middle. Then my defense is being built around Ronald Powell. Yep, just hand me the trophy.

Does any of those links have Cam Newton running from the cops, laptop in hand?

Newton Highlights
From the tape, he looks impressive. Some may question his deep speed, but when he gets out of a jam, he can really turn it on and flee. The tape shows excellent fence leaping abilities and the ability to start and stop with the best of them. Newton shows great acceleration from this limited tape and just when people think he's stopped he explodes and is running again. As for his arm? He shows the unique ability to throw his career away one decision at a time. First stealing, then going to Auburn.

Bronson Irwin OG Oklahoma. If anyone has a better run-blocking O-line then the one I have assembled, I would like to see it. Now I just let Spencer Ware go to work behind it.

I don't really go for flashy players in the early rounds. I typically have stuck with defensive guys or positions that are very hard to fill with solid talent later in the draft.
Hence, why I have drafted TEs in both my drafts. Personally, I find it to be arguably the most underrated position in the game. A dynamic TE can completely change defenses approach. Also, there are only one or two of them in each class.

I like my line up as much as anyone else, but I'm thinking of it as more of a fantasy style team than actually building a starting lineup. I'm starting to get concerned about my lack of linemen, but they are just getting gobbled up way faster than I think they should, so I'm going to keep going with the best talent available.
FWIW, I agree with Lynx about the TE and I'm pretty stoked about picking up CJ.

My take on TEs is that even THE best aren't used very much. No one builds an offense around a TE. No one.
So yeah, it can be a great dynamic in your offense for sure, but until you start having more offenses with TE is the no. 1 option (I can only think of 1 in recent memory), then they are a bonus.
I think if you asked coaches across the nation which they would prefer a game changing RB or game changing TE. 100% say RB. Game changing WR or game changing TE. 100% say WR. Even great no. 2 receiver to TE, most would say no. 2.
That's why I don't personally value TE.
My overall draft strategy is usually taking what I deem is the best available, while placing a specific value on certain positions. To me, LT, DE (pass rusher) and QB are far and away the most important positions. CB would be next.
QB is down, so I look at it like you have a group of guys with about equal about of upside and bust potential.

OldIowa has S. Henderson and E. Washington (who I think will play guard) so that's the most "talented" o-line so far. I think I might have the most athletic one though. Lot of "potential" for early starting time with my o-lineman.

Gotta hand it to you lot. You guys are sicker than I first thought....

Not sure if I mentioned this earlier, but at the end I'm going to have everyone vote. Rank the teams from 1-26 and then I'll tally the votes and declare a "winner" that way.

I might not know too much, but I will take my two O Linemen over any other teams OL. One really good guard and fill in the rest, and my Oline will be pretty damn good.
Maybe I am biased, but with that OL, and my pocket QB, I feel real good aboot my team so far.
A solid RB should not be hard to find later, especially with my OL the way it is.

My argument against that is I can find very talented RBs and WRs in later rounds because they are a dime a dozen. There are a few each year that are clearly the best, but there are tons past that, that have great potential and ability.
The same cannot be said for TE. If you don't get one of the top 3-4, then they are essentially just another OL.
Therefore, I see a huge premium at TE.
Would I take a team with:
1-Great WR
2- Above Average WR
3- Crappy TE
4-Good RB
or
1-Great WR
2-Good WR
3- Great TE
4-Good RB
I take the team with the Great TE because I think it offers a more dynamic offensive set.

I wouldn't mind that, but I think the voting should be in four to five years when the majority of the players graduate. That way we can see who had the most starts, All-conference, All-Americans, etc.

Full Time Starter - 1 pt per yr
2nd Team All Conf - 2 pts per yr
1st Team All Conf - 3 pts per yr
All American 2nd Team - 4 pts per yr
All American 1st Team - 5 pts per yr
Something like that. I am not against the voting. I just don't want to come out 26th.

I think the turnover will make that less interesting.
Do the vote right after and we can revisit it each year.

Why not vote at the end of each season? Because if we declare a winner by who has the most 5 stars(which is what will happen if we vote now) then the whole thing is dumb
