It seems like just yesterday people said he'd be a Top 3 pick in 3 years

4 of LSU's 2020 1st RD picks:

Joe Burrow - .9003 1st overall
Justin Jefferson - .7982 22nd overall
Patrick Queen - .8955 28th overall
Clyde Edward-Helaire - .8845 32nd overall

Why not?

People will watch a highlight reel from a 16 yr old and jump to outrageous conclusions, such as him having the potential to be a top 3 pick.

Don't take the ratings and rankings too seriously guys.

It's too subjective. It has some utility to a degree and it is good for fan interest.

Of course there is some bias and it is absolutely a business.

One, I don’t know what someone thinking he could be a top 3 pick in the NFL draft has to do with anything in this thread.

Two, he’s a very solid all-around good player. No weakness but also nothing necessarily elite.

You probably took one person’s opinion and pawned it off as “everyone” on this board’s opinion.

Or you just made it up because you’re full of shite and a piece of shite.

Neither would surprise me.

This thread includes a post showing him drop in the rankings. So, yes, it does.

Correct, he's projected to be a 2nd round prospect.

I am unsure why everyone has quotes on it because nobody said "everyone".

I wonder how they're evaluating

Without their coveted camps, how in the world can they drop kids, or raise kids? Have they looked at more film, dug deeper Into the kids’ personal lives? Either it’s and indictment of their previous Evals or they’re simply trying to pander to the most lucrative fan bases.

no they weren’t, an unranked player doesn’t count towards it. Now that he’s ranked, it hurts our average but not our total. Only 2 of our players lost a point on their overall grade

A&M and Tennessee fans are saying a lot of their players dropped too. What school is benefiting from these nefarious moves?

No they weren’t. It showed 9 commits and we really had 10 with Todd at one point. He’s the reason it dropped. Most of our players didn’t move enough to drop it 3 points. That’s a lot

Thanks for clarifying, I saw Todd on that list so just assumed he was counted. Good catch.

Ohio State

...and like 22-23 in the top 250! It’s nuts. They’ve got commit or CB from the #2, #3, and #4 WDE, several top 5 at almost all positions including many #1s and #2s AND I’ve got to listen to rumors of them grabbing Raesjon??? I just can’t process...

I know the rankings only matter so much and we have arguably the best talent evaluators in the country. But off of straight rankings, I think we all would have expected to be pulling in OSU or UGA type of recruits this year (or Clemson last year).

If we could pull 5-6 5*s on top of our incredible ability to scout 3* and 4* players who are eventual first round picks....could you imagine?

Did 247 change their calculations from using Composite to their Top 247? that must be where that 90.93 is coming from. I've always played with the player rating they give and thought they used the Composite. Maybe they'll change it when P. Todd gets a composite...

ETA: that LSU average player rating will change. That is our average for their Top 247, not the Composite. I just calculated other teams in their Top 10, and they're using the Composite on all teams that have every player with a Composite score. They used their top247 for us, so it's not apples to apples.

I calculated the average excluding Todd (since they have not posted a rating). It was 0.92974545.
Since the rating is nil, a proper average ignores that value. Once they put up the rating, and it will be low since all kickers are rated as 2 stars, it will drop our average rating significantly.
