Can’t disagree.

OU has a great track record with QB’s. So does Clemson.

I expect LSU to be in his final 3. Just my opinion.

I would not be surprised if he avoids Clemson as that family seems to love competition and atm Clemson has no competition for 11 out of 12 regular season games most years. Oklahoma isnt too far off from that either. Maybe it is me being hopeful, but I just think he will play in the SEC

I think he’s going to stay in the SEC as well. The Manning family loves the SEC and I bet he’ll stay somewhere they can get to all of his games with relative ease. Archie Manning is getting up there in age and I know he would like to be able to travel to some of his games if he stays in the southeast region. He may list Clemson and Oklahoma as finalists at some point, but LSU and Ole Miss will be the favorites before he commits or signs.

When Peyton was being recruited, it was rumoured that OL was one of the big things he looked at.

It's just a gut feeling for me but if LSU continues on its current trend I think Arch is LSU bound.

The Mannings have nothing to prove at this point, and LSU would be the obvious choice. I think Archie would find it amusing if Arch ends up playing at his college arch rival. Hell, he's used to seeing both his sons play against each other on national TV. He loves Ole Miss but it's business for them. Do you really think he cares where his grand kid plays as long as he's successful?

Rivals article on Archie Manning

Archie is the grandfather.

The name you are looking for here is Arch.

I admittedly am an old-timer and remember when Ole Miss was a huge rival back in the day. With that said, the thought of a Manning wearing purple & gold is totally out of my realm of probability. Times change but I just don’t see this kid at LSU. Would have to play his grandfather’s & uncle’s alma mater in an LSU uniform. Simply not happening.

If Cooper lets Archie decide where Arch goes to college then he isnt a very good dad. Posters who keep saying that he wont end up at LSU because of Archie are idiots. Now maybe we get him and maybe we wont, but O is going to be very tough to turn down and at the end of the day that is all you can hope for.

Ask the Brockermeyer family about how your family legacy plays into recruiting. Their father let them choose the best place for them.

Arch will do the same. As long as we have a coach here to teach him and run an offense for him to be successful we have a shot.

This might be the only Manning we have a shot at

The Manning family has lived in Louisiana for over 40 years. The idea that all generations of Manning football players have to feel obligated to play at Ole Miss is silly.

Cooper is the one with the supposed disdain for LSU, not Archie.

The Brockmeyer dad chose Bama though...
I think Arch goes to LSU but that was not the best example

I watched his grandfather play in college and pros. He should be in the Hall of Fame. Somehow, I think Arch will play for Ole Miss.

Says he has to look at the “QB’s”. I assume that means depth chart.

We have Brennan probably for two more years.
Max Johnson
Nuss
And then presumably Howard coming in a year ahead of Arch.

We will have a crowded QB room and would mean he would likely have to wait to play. I do expect at least one if not two of these guys to move on depending on how things shake out. I don’t think Arch is scared of competition, at the same time I don’t think the Mannings would want him to wait more than 1 year to play.

So assuming our QB room continues to stack up with quality prospects ahead of him, I am not sure if they will see the opportunity for him to get the early experience they want him to have. Then again if he develops into a can’t miss prospect then some of the existing guys may be asked to move on if he wants to be at LSU and a deal is made.

Who knows.
