I can tell you without seeing a lick of film that he's better than that uncoordinated band guy fricking Trent Johnson took in as a walk on

He could be the second coming of Ben Voogd and I'd promise him a starting position.

If we could pull him that would be amazing.

from the article linked on page two:

He is also a standout on the hardwood -- one of the best in the state -- averaging over 30 points and 14 rebounds per game.

Not that it matters much to me but he's pretty damn good. Would definitely get minutes at LSU and is obviously a fantastic athlete.

And ATX, I like having you around. Very unbiased UT poster, something that is rare around here

possibly because he's a navy fan and lives in pensacola. maybe he's actually in the navy. in fact, if he's unbiased, in the navy and living in peansacola i'm just gonna say he's probably not a ut fan at all.

BTW, I'm from Austin, TX(ATX), retired Navy, currently living in Florida and definitely a Texas Longhorn fan.
Oh yeah, Hook 'em!

I really think they'll just let him play BB and he'll just recommit to UT. Jmo though

Doubt Texas is a clear cut leader. They always say that when they decommit this early. Sounds like he's wide open.

they should at least tell him that

I agree that is the most likely scenario.

I would imagine there's going to be some folks headed in to Rick's office informing him RSJ will be walking on if he chooses to.

But an offer could feel half assed at this point and he wants to play where he's wanted. Who knows

I can definitely see Texas caving and telling him he can play basketball but at this point RSJ and family could see it as just a pitch since originally they were against it. These kids aren't stupid. Some take the coaches at their word but others don't fall for it(no matter the true intentions of the coaches from the school, who may be sincere in their telling him he can play basketball) because they may feel the staff is leading them on. Kind of similar to the James Wilder/UF RB discussion a couple of years ago. UF was not recruiting him as a RB originally though he was dead set on playing it and when Meyer flipped his pitch to RB, Wilder had already moved on and didn't buy it. It's all up to what RSJ and his family believe coming from the Texas staffs.
