What's the latest on Liggins?

He is playing against Evangel in Shreveport Saturday. Free Scout article

quote:

The Commodores travel to tradition rich Evangel Christian Academy (Shreveport, LA) to play the Eagles in a non-league battle on Saturday, September 10.

Maybe some LSU fans will be there representing.

Edited to add: The Evangel/Lafayette game is at 11 am.
I am going to start a post about the game so the Shreveport people that don't read this post can see it.

Madison Central is coming over next Friday to play West Monroe. Good to see some Louisiana/Mississippi match ups this year.

Looks like Liggins had a good game against Oxford Saturday:

quote:

**Lafayette High continues to prove that they just could be the top overall team inside the state of Mississippi. They faced cross town, Oxford, and beat the Chargers soundly 40-12. Jeremy Liggins rushed and passed for over 100 yards and accounted for three touchdowns

He really likes LSU but I think he doesnt beleive he is going to get an offer so he is looking instate. Miles and crew are usually pretty good about being straight up with kids about whether they are likely to get an offer

Pretty sure Liggins is a heavy Rebtard lean at this point - he pretty much showed up to every OM fall practice. OM message board mods seem to concur about what his true intentions are.

I guess if some bigger SEC programs start raining down offers things could change, but I'd be surprised if he doesn't go to OM.

As far as Richie Brown, he's a Coast guy, so LSU is always going to be a factor. For some strange reason I think OM has a good shot - IDK know why he'd wanna to go to OM over LSU tho

We need to stay on him as i am not sure that this coaching staff is going to survive, and I think 70% that Mullen gets picked up out of MSU too. That would leave an opportunity for us in Mississippi

Word has it Richie Brown's teammate Nick Janes as well as other MSU commits he became friends with over the summer have been talking up Mississippi State to Richie.

Isn't this kind of a gimme? I mean if LSU would have got James don't you think he would be trying to drag him there too?

More and more LSU is gaining ground on Ward. Nick James needs to get his act together in the classroom or he is looking at JUCO. I still give state a slim chance if keeping his verbal.

Also Ponamsky says to keep an eye on Lorenzo Phillips. LSU has made their move

Ward already has a CJ Johnson type of plan set up to assure he signs with Ole Miss

Nick James is as solid as a rock with his commitment to State and is really dedicated to his academic work at school and should qualify.

I'm sure you thought the same of recruits this past year. No one is a lock. Especially those committed to state.

This. Everyone is recruiting for X school blah blah blah.

And no one is a lock until signing day.

I still think Richie Brown ends up at LSU, but he could always pull a wild card and go somewhere up North or something. He is exploring options all over the country.

He will go to an SEC school. No way he chooses Purdue or Indiana over his SEC offered schools.

Do you think CJ would have played any against Oregon if he would have signed with LSU

Good to hear. Would love to see him change his mind.

The Aggies had another recruit change his mind: LINK

quote:

Three-star defensive end Eric Davis of Tyler, Texas, has switched his commitment from Texas A&M to Oklahoma State, Rivals.com reported Monday.

Damn Aggies can't keep their recruits!

LSU is still on Brown. Says Coach Chavez talked with him on the phone Thursday.
Believe this is a free Scout article from Yancy Porter

Jesus, what classification does this kid play in? He seems to put up insane numbers every week. I'm almost inclined to let either Devall or Phillips walk if we get this guy...
