Just a thought….
When Durante is healthy again, do you all think she should be moved back to the lead off position on bars? I think that having that routine as the leadoff could potentially raise the overall bars scores. I think Kiya’s bars (when she sticks the landing) should be getting 9.90. Same thing with Kai. I also feel that Dunne and Bryant (when they stick the landing) should go 9.925, 9.95 easily. Alyona is still a wildcard (because of dismount), although her bars did look good opening night.
I say this because I remember Zamardi being the leadoff and she sometimes would get 9.90s. And Myia was easily getting 9.90s, 9.925s in the second spot. In this case I think it makes sense to use Durante as the leadoff.

Dunne's routine looks much improved, they still have to work on that double layout. Double layouts should not be piking down so much.
I know she use to work on another dismount (same one as Sami's). Form was much better on that dismount but not sure how the landings were.

I agree but the judges don’t seem to be deducting for piking in the DLO (at least not in week 1).

Apparently there is a mixed shape dismount in the JO code; some commentators on other websites have suggested that for both dunne and schennikova the judges are crediting them for that dismount (I think a d value to double layouts e) a they have enough bonus anyway, so that doesn’t effect the start value.
I haven’t verified, it is just what I have read. Would be interesting if true!

Makes sense.
Arkansas with a 49.55 on bars.

I hope the bonkers scoring for those two and UT - Ok gets some commentary from the gymternet - because they always love to complain when it is LSU getting generous scores, but not necessarily others.
But for real, we are going to have to have a marked improvement on beam and floor the next time we compete.

Kennedy Hambrick was way over scored tonight, it really stood out to me.Interesting to see what’s going on with OU-all of their seniors/super seniors had major issues tonight.

I didn’t know Alexis was even a possibility. What’s the story here?!

Why did you delete your posts?

Nothing good according to the fb group. According to them she kept throwing round the n word and instead of apologizing she transferred. Now this is all heresy so I don’t know but surely if true Jay would have consulted with the team before accepting her transfer.

They sure are quick to jump on LSU and make us the bad guys. If the story is true, and it’s a big if, that’s on UCLA. Jay may or may not even know what went down and I’m sure her side of the story is quite different.

They are actually not saying anything too bad about lsu mostly about Waller not handling the situation.

I do hope that if there is any truth to the story being promoted on the Facebook group that the team was consulted before accepting the transfer. I think that LSU has a very diverse and welcoming gymnastics team (or so it seems from the outside) - would hate to bring someone in who upsets the status quo.

Woah I had no idea transfers like that could happen during the season. Will she be eligible to compete this year? Did we have a scholarship for her?

I’m gonna wait on more info coming out before having an opinion.

Reddit has quite a discussion on AJ with comments about us as well.

I’m so confused but I’m assuming you all are referring to Alexis Jeffrey.

Also guys, we’ve got to be more careful/conscious with our opinions on here (and social media in general). People are so quick to screen shot stuff these days. We don’t want the gymnasts to feel torn down/belittled by their gymnastics “family”. I think we all do a really good job of being positive and supporting the girls, but there have been a few times where some comments could be deemed offensive. Let’s keep everyone’s mental health in mind when we “voice” our opinions.
