Did you all see that TWO gymnasts tore their Achilles on the Georgia floor on Friday? Plus one more at the GA regional last year! I hope Kiya waits another week before competing floor

I saw that. I saw Hallie’s live on tv and then they mentioned during the broadcast that Ellie was injured in warm ups. With the depth Florida has, I’m pretty sure they’ll be just fine.

I thought Jay said that Kiya would not compete AA until the Auburn meet. Hopefully, he rests her. That Georgia beam seemed to be cursed too. I counted 6 falls. Let's hope that does not continue on to this week.

Getting Aleah back will give us a big shot in the arm we need. But this will be her first meet so I’ll be realistic

I try to watch as much as possible but really havnt seen her much on TV. I'm guessing shes a clone of her sister? Sahra was beautiful on the floor and a rock on the rest.

Aleah is just a extremely clean gymnast, much like all the girls who come from GAGE. She is a little bit different than Sarah in terms of her gymnastics but clean form on every event is going to score extremely well right away. I expect her to be a mainstay on beam and floor. Her bars are almost there as well, she had one of the better routines in the intrasquad. They are pacing her, she had to take time off since elite and had some surgeries but is coming along nicely so far.

Some more footage of the intrasquad from Friday LINK

Didn't get to see Tori's vault in the stream, but you can see in this video that her 1.5 was really good here. Great form in the air and a slight hop. Aleah looks really strong on beam, and I could possibly see her being our anchor by the end of the season. KJ's power blows my mind, crazy how underrated she was coming into the season. Just needs more experience to gain confidence. Looking forward to seeing these freshmen show what they are made of.

Minnesota on vault! Wow.

LSU is gonna need six 10.0 sv vaults in order to have a chance at making the Four on the Floor. Minnesota and Michigan are sticking these vaults. Very few form deductions.

My guess is that by the end of the season our vault lineup will be:
Kam/Chase/Tori/Aleah/Kai (as much as I love Kai I’d opt for one of the first 4 to be in the lineup since they have a 10.0 SV vault)
Sarah/Alyona
Alyona/Sarah
KJ
Kiya

I guess we should just have a standing offer to any GAGE gymnasts! They seem to turn out very polished athletes.

If her 1.5 is consistent with the landing, especially moreso than the others, I’d personally go with Chase over the others. I think regionals last year, she proved that she can hit under pressure when the team needs it most and she’s the only one of that crew to have had a full post season so knows how to handle it

I would like to see them put Kam on the back for a few meets to see her confidence go up. We know she can do it she just needs to know she can do it when it matters.

We need this weeks meet bad. Should be a good opportunity to get these girls back rolling with a W on the road in a loud environment.

I agree. The girls need to compete. Just to get out of the practice environment and onto hard surfaces. I know I watch plenty other meets but it’s not the same not watching our girls.

"I told her I'm not married to this. I don't want to interpret this one way and be on the wrong side of it. They both came back and said, no we think you're right to move forward."

Sounds like Jay and LSU did their diligence, consulted the team as well as individually (especially the POC) and had multiple POC from the administrative side walk through it all as well and approved moving forward with this.

If ACK and the POC gymnasts are in agreement with this decision based off the information they have. We should be too. Jay said they will not tolerate any type of discriminatory behavior and it will end immediately if anything were to ever hypothetically come up. Any anger should be towards UCLAs side for not being transparent about the situation. People going to social media and making vague comments isn’t helping the situation

Interestingly Jay said the things going around on social media were "Wildly contrary" to what LSU was being told by gymnasts from UCLA and Jeffrey's side.
